Dresden bound :stickman: My summer vacation officially starts tomorrow when I fly for Dresden. So if in the next day or so I do not immediately reply to an e-mail etc... please be forgiving. I promise the rest of Roadkill that upon arrival that my first act will be to order "ein grosses Helles" and drink the beer in Roadkill's honor. :grin:

Howie Kendrick was sent to the minors, so I moved Zobrist to 2b and activated Andruss to play SS.

I haven't read all of this thread, but I just want to say that I would not be in favor of a ban on post season trading. True, I think that some teams have been taken advantage of, but that is part of the game. I would hate to see this league ruled and regulated to death.

That happened to me this week too. I think it's the first time I've ever scored over 300 points and lost (partly because it's not that often that I score over 300 in the first place). I noticed that you had over 300 too. It sucks to lose, but at least the Quakers made a game of it. If Slowey had a quality start on Sunday, I would have won. There have been years when I seem to have good match ups and win even thoogh m offense wasn't particularly good. But this year.....

I am going to need baseball's equivalent of a perfect storm to beat raw. Otherwise it is another week of scoring over 300 and losing. Sigh ...If I could just get a few bats off my DL

Wait a minute?!? Why am I left off this list? I have had the top score on two separate occassions. Besides, over-the-top trash talking is a large part of what makes Roadkill so much fun.

Is it 10 games at a position before you qualify at Roadkill? Zobrist has played 5 games at second.

Arg...Bartlett has a sprain, so I moved Zobrist to short and activated Spilbouroughs.

What a week :D Mauer, Reynolds, Bartlett, and Dunn. Solid pitching. My best week during my years with Roadkill. I just hope it continues.

I have benched Votto (who is day-to-day) and replaced him with Overbay

I'm fairly sure you are right. That is my understanding. As long as a player has CBS's little hurt sign you can bench him (to be on the DL you have to actually be on the DL) and then replace him later in the week when he is playing again.

Apparently Quakers lost 2 points overnight. :D You seem to take an unnatural amount of delight from my discomfort. Just wait until next time. :starwars: It's only fair, I got ripped out of a start! You call a rainout being "ripped"!?:) I have been in some real close games this season (outside of when I played Tim), even though I lost it was fun to almost come back. I thought I was totally out of it at one point. In fact I would have replaced Burrell earier, but I thought why bother. It turns out that could have won the game for me. Oh well, live and learn.

I finally benched Burell (bad neck) and replaced him with Zobrist. I dropped Coke because he is nearing 20 games and I wouldn't be able to stash him in my minors any longer. BTW - What is the order of our next draft? The same as our preseason draft or will we use the waiver wire?

Looks like my dreams of an undefeated season are over. I just didn't get the pitching this week. But on the bright side Mauer hit a homerun on his first day back.
