  1. OF Reggie Golden, 2B Zeke DeVoss, CF Pin-Chieh Chen and 3B Willson Contreras. Today, Yao-Lin Wang is the starting pitcher, definitely someone to keep an eye on. Tomorrow, it's Jose Rosario who is a hard thrower. Friday, it should be Austin Reed who has a high ceiling but has struggled quite a bit this season, Saturday the very interesting Willengton Cruz and Sunday will be Ben Wells. Thanks. I wasn't able to make it to last nights came. But I will make it to the rest of the series. I will post my observations. One player that has my interest is DeVoss.
  2. Might be able to see Boise vs Salem tonight. I will definitely be seeing the rest of the series over the weekend. Anything or anybody that I should keep an eye on?
  3. Ah good...I really need him to beat Juan. :beg:
  4. Since I lost both games against the Habits, I need some help. Go Alamo :beg: Romero has given my a chance. I am still down by a lot, but I have a two start advantage. Westbrooke and Jackson need to do well against the Scrubs this weekend. (Sorry, but the Cubs are out of contention and the Quakers still have a shot)
  5. My memory is fuzzy on this, but can we substitute for suspended players mid-week ? I thought so, just like an injured player. That is my understanding too.
  6. The Quakers blew a chance to move into the lead for the third play-off spot in the west by blowing an early lead against the Habits. A couple of key injuries have dimmed their chances even more...arg I will be attending a conference from Monday through Wednesday, so I might not be able to check in.
  7. Two nice starts from Hudson and Romero:) Unfortunately DeLaRosa is going to have a Tommy John surgery:( I need to pick up a replacement.
  8. You can lose to me if you want too :-s I appreciate the fact that you are putting out a decent effort, even though there is an obvious race to get the first draft pick.
  9. DeLaRosa, Duffy, Niese, Romero, Nicasio, Chapman, Hudson all have one, or more, years of exemption.
  10. :yahoo:
  11. Congrats!
  12. I know this has been discussed before, but Budcrew's line-up is all messed up. He has several players playing who are on the major league DL and several players on his DL who are playing in the majors.
  13. Is next week All-star week? If so, then how are we handling it? Is it a short week? Is it a long week? How many starts does each team get? :?
  14. I think that I have negative points from my starters this week.
  15. Barney is off the DL, so I moved Gorden back to the minors.

    The DL

As usual, I find myself posting long after everyone else. 1) I think the right decision was made. Most rule changes should be made in the Fall after the season is over. 2) I think our DL is fine the way it is, but I would not be upset with the suggested change. 3) Remember that this is just a fantasy league. It is not that big of a deal. I would hate to see this league fall apart. It has been a lot of fun. 4) Juan was a great commish, Brian has done a good job, and Tim would be a good commish too.
  17. Mauer came off the DL
  18. Barney to DL. So the Quakers have benched Barney, brought up Gorden from the minors, and demoted Nicasio to the minors.
  19. The Quakers receive Tootielicious's first round pick in 2012'2 prospect draft as part of the trade the sent Billingsley to Tootielicious and Alverez, Matzek, and Niese to the Quakers.
  20. Adam Lind came off the DL. Put him in as my dh, Moved Brantley to the OF, Benched Stubbs, Moved Sands to the Minors. Dropped Bill Allen. My line-up is legal.
  21. Arg...I know #-o Hopefully you will be nice to me and have a couple of negative starts in order to give me a chance. :good: Happy to oblige...Marquis looked like Marquis tonight. He actually would have won, despite 5 earned, except he couldn't make it a full 5 innings. Bah humbug. Oh, and Sam Fuld has 7 on my bench, vs freaking Ryan Howard with 2.5. Start hitting, for goodness sake! Thank you. Your efforts are appreciated. :clapping:
  22. The scoring system probably isn't smart enough to decipher whether starting pitchers are accumulating relief points or starting points, and most leagues would probably allow points like that regardless of where they came from. I'll remove the points. Thanks. I thought that was our poilicy.
  23. Arg...I know #-o Hopefully you will be nice to me and have a couple of negative starts in order to give me a chance. :good:
  24. Hey, Commish It appears Gutherie pitched in a non-start situation and picked up 4.5 points. Apparently his start was rained out, so he made a brief relief appearance. Should that be allowed? Should Gutherie be charged with a start, or more likely should the 4.5 points be taken from Sock-it-Thome's score? I thought relievers could only get points from relieving and starters only from starting. ???
  25. I had Avila one week (of course his bad week) and dropped him. Barney has been a nice, if not spectatular, pick up at SS.
