Who cares ? I do. Not sure if you live in Chicago, but 2005 was unbearable for me and I would do anything to avoid having to deal with it again. I don't really care what they do as long as they don't look like World Series contenders. They aren't. I only care about getting the Cubs into the World Series, and the White Sox have almost nothing to do with that aside from 6 games in the middle of the season But you're not the only person in the world. Some people might care what the White Sox do.
Marquis was actually pitching pretty good and only threw 86 pitches, our bullpen has been really over-worked the past week, why the hell did we take him out after 5?
I'm sure there's somebody in the world that predicted the Tigers to win about 50 games this year. That doesn't mean they're right about anything. The Cubs are a game above .500 in early April, the only thing we should really be worried about right now is the stupid decisions Lou is making.
What about Soriano/Johnson/DeRo in the OF, with Theriot moving to 2B, and Cedeno in at SS? I'm more concern about how the batting lineup will look tomorrow, moreso then have the defensive alignment will be. I was thinking something similar. I'd rather have Soriano/Pie/Derosa with Theriot at 2B and Cedeno at SS. That would at least give us good defense in the OF. I'd also guess that Soto will get the night off...which might be needed but still sucks.
He wouldn't be a horrible choice, but he's far from the only choice. If he played SS, 2B, or CF and was a couple years younger, then yeah. Guys like Hanley Ramirez and Sizemore are younger, cheaper, and play premium positions.
