  1. Watching the game on WGN today got me pretty super pumped. I've very excited to see how Soto, Pie, and Fukudome do.
  2. Pie looked pretty patient at the plate, that was good. Fukudome seems very patient. And Soto continues to look good just about every AB. Some good signs.
  3. I heard the comments and I didn't think much of the "probably". I did like that he said Pie had distanced himself.
  4. It had to be said. Originality/comedic value: D "One of the guys" factor: A You guys obviously don't understand comedy.
  5. Good Lord, I just looked through this thread for the first time and it's given me a fever.
  6. lol, he's not old enough to play pitcher baseball for the giants, lol
  7. 46 people died in plane crash in Venezuela last night. I haven't heard anything about any sports teams wearing patches with the power to heal the emotional wounds of family members, or any patches at all for that matter. This is a disgrace. Sports should be ashamed.
  8. Kind of hard to watch the games when pitchers and catchers haven't reported to camp yet. I have every game from last year recorded on VHS tapes. Congratulations I was hoping I wouldn't have to point out that I'm joking.

  10. Numbers? Maybe you should try actually watching the games.
  11. I would like to have Jake Fox on the bench, especially if Murton is dealt. I think he would be a great power bat off the bench, a good emergency catcher, and I think he could be good enough that we could eventually deal him to an AL team as a DH and get something pretty decent in return.
  12. Fight team, fight for Ball State; We must win this game. Onward, now you Cardinals, Bring glory to your name! Rah! Rah! Rah! Here's to both your colors -- Cardinal and White, Praying for a victory- So, FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT! bolded = very fitting
  13. Just FWIW I watched Sean throw his last bullpen before he left for AZ and he had a MLB catcher from another team catching. He was consistently Mid 90's and his offspeed pitches were there and there were a few other MLB players watching and they had nothing but good things to say. He has been working out really hard as evidenced by his dropping twenty five pounds and has been working on being ready as soon as ST opens...... ;) From what I heard, he really opened some eyes in AZ last fall. Yeah, at this point I'd rather just keep Gallagher. If an opportunity for a better upgrade came along (Greene) I wouldn't mind trading him, but it seems like he might be turning into something really good.
  14. Does this feel like déjà-vu to anyone? I miss Mark, but it is great to not have to worry about when he's coming back...or if. I would love to have the possibility of Prior pitching for the Cubs at some point this season as long as we weren't counting on it.
  15. I like ND, but I couldn't help rooting for Marquette there. I just still can't believe Zeller got Mr. Basketball over James, and for some reason that makes me dislike Zeller. I'm not saying it makes sense, just the way it is. Forget James, Josh McRoberts was in that class too. ND scared the crap out of me with late turnovers but they held off Marquette 86-83. 18 and 11 for Harangody, and seven guys scored at least seven points. A total team effort today to make it 34 in a row in the Joyce. ND should shoot into Top 15-ish territory on Monday. James was the best high school senior in that class. Yeah, I would definitely put James ahead of McRoberts. I want to put Holsinger at #2 since I went to school with him from 4th-12th grade and he's a really good guy, but I'll try to restrain my bias and go James, McRoberts, Zeller, Holsinger.
  16. I hope he just retires so Peyton can break his records sooner.

  18. I wouldn't mind giving up Colvin. I'd rather give him up than Gallagher.
  19. ANY QB gets rattled when he gets hit repeatedly, some to lesser extents This is why no matter who you are, you need a good offensive line. Especially a Brady/Payton type who can't move. Peyton can't run, but he's very good at moving around the pocket and avoiding tacklers.
  20. Holy crap that's sexy.

  22. Why is Belichick's a-holery not a bigger story? The man left the field before the game was over and took his team with him. WTH?! That was one of the most ridiculous things I've ever seen. The man is the biggest baby I've ever seen in professional sports. But anyway, I hope this is the first piece in a long painful Patriots downfall. I hope they get the proof of their cheating against the Rams, all their old players either retire or start sucking, and they become crap. Also, I predicted a 3 point Giants win, although I secretly thought the Patriots would win.
  23. Wrigley: Cubs, Reds, Giants, Diamondbacks Comiskey: White Sox - Mariners (twice) Great American Ballpark: Reds - Cubs (several times) Busch: Cardinals - Brewers Derrek Lee has homered in all 3 games I've seen him in, including a 2 hr game. I bring out the best in him...or maybe its the Reds' pitching...no, its probably me.
