  1. Link. I want to have sex with that person.
  2. I loved the look on Ozzie's face for the last half of the game. Almost looked like he was trying to hold back tears. Any sweep is awesome, but its especially awesome when the other team has been running their mouths all week. Seriously, like half their team has had a stupid quote in a paper this week. Wonderful
  3. I loved that an "AJ Sucks" chant started seconds before he struck out today. That was awesome.
  4. Seems like a lot for someone that's never thrown 200 innings.
  5. Seems like Pie is finally heating up...that's good.
  6. A start maybe, but I'm not sure there is an executive alive who can fix that mess. Bedard, Silva, Sexson, Washburn, Batista and Beltre are all virtually unmovable unless the team eats a whole lot of money. I just said it could be seen as such. As in, by the fans and such.
  7. If people believe it's entertaining, then it's not a myth whether you fall in that category or not. Personally, I'd rather not have the DH, but I think both leagues need to have the same rule. To each his/her own. Personally, I kinda like how the AL has it and the NL doesn't. No other sport has something like that, differing rules. Gives fans a point of contention for either side. Imagine if like the AFL got away with field goals, that'd be crazy. That's how I feel. I like the difference. I also like feeling of superiority I get as an NL fan, because the DH is stupid.
  8. Maybe this will make them more likely to deal Bedard. Bavasi might have demanded as much as he gave up out of pride, but pride won't be a factor now. Moving Bedard could be seen as starting to clean up the mess.
  9. Also lots of talk about what detergent the Yankees use to clean their uniforms.
  10. Last night did anyone else hear Lou say (in reference to Soriano): "He was hitting the ball good and hitting for power. And more importantly he was starting to get his speed back and steal some bases."? That's why Patterson is leading off.
  11. That's what I would like. However, the thought of Dubois is somewhat intriguing. He's like 30 something, so that's probably the only reason he's doing good at AAA, but I just think there's a possibility he could mash some lefties.
  12. Hoff is eligible to come back Friday right? and Thursday is an off day, right? I have a feeling there will be a roster move and Fontenot's playing time will only see a marginal increase. I hope so. We'll see, I guess. Lou did mention bringing up a couple of "kids" from Iowa to Erin Andrews after the game. I really hope those kids are Hoff and Murton with the intent on platooning them. I think that is easily the best solution without a trade. I really hope the Cubs go after Bradley sometime this season, but with Texas only 5 GB in the wildcard, I doubt they'd be willing to trade him yet.

  14. I have a bad feeling we're going to be seeing a whole lot of Fontenot in the near future.
  15. I agree, but I see no reason for Murton to be a part of it. I think a Murton/Hoff platoon would be wonderful. I'd bet that platoon could put up numbers comparable to Soriano. seriously? Seriously. Individually that aren't near Soriano, but platooning I think they would be close.
  16. Someone needs to remind Lou that Dempster has been a reliever the past few years.
  17. I agree, but I see no reason for Murton to be a part of it. I think a Murton/Hoff platoon would be wonderful. I'd bet that platoon could put up numbers comparable to Soriano.
  18. Bonds and Edmonds in the same outfield....oh my. Maybe Bin Laden can come out of hiding and be that #2 pitcher we're looking for.
  19. k thnx idiot Give me a break. People were jumping with joy around here when the Pujols news broke. That's an exaggeration at best. I think the most excited reactions came from those that don't want Cardinals' fans to have an excuse that they didn't win the division, which is hardly jumping for joy. I just think its ridiculous to post something like that when within the past 24 hours there have been plenty of posts about how great it was for Pujols to get hurt. Please find these quotes. I don't remember anything similar to "hopefully its broken".
  20. I come home, see the Cubs up 5, all is good. Look at the box and Soriano was taken out of the game...crap.
  21. And Pie is 0-2. Sheesh, what happened to these guys?
  22. You're still disgusting! You're all disgusting! rabble
  23. How about Pie, Marshall, Ceda, Cedeno for Sabathia. Then Colvin for Milton Bradley. Zambrano Sabathia Dempster Lilly Gallagher/Hill Soriano Theriot Lee Ramirez Fukudome Soto Bradley DeRosa
  24. Last I heard (which was recently), he's still holding on to hope and is very serious about it. Don't know if his chances are all that good, but he'll certainly do his best to make it happen. I think things have looked more optimistic the past few months.
