  1. the #1 pick is important to me as it will determine who I will take with the #2 pick :-). It really sucked having Derrek Lee go down last season, but it was great being able to keep Lee and Ryan Howard and only cost me 145.8 points :-).
  2. dream on... don't care what he or his parents are saying, he's going to the nba. I know, but 1% of hope is more than I had yesterday. "So your telling me there's a chance".
  3. Durant may not go pro . That would be freaking awesome, plus he seems like a really great kid. I would have to think Texas would be a preseason top 3 team next if he stays being that they are starting 4 freshman and a soph.

I think you win the award for closest to the cap. so far anyway. actually, I think Doug now has you beat! You do win the award for highest scoring exempt player though (Ryan Howard). your team is kind of frightening with Lee coming back. Well my infield is complete :-).
  5. It was just the whole thread under rules going back to 2004. Read the begining and not the end when it was changed.

Finally finished :pig: Ryan Howard Exempt Derrek Lee 145.8 Chase Utley 608 Michael Young 501 Doiner Navarro Exempt Aaron Hill Exempt Jason Schmidt 530.3 Eric Bedard 464.8 Zach Grinke Exempt Tony Armas 243.9 Points Used 2493.8 Cap 2500 Under 6.2
  7. ok. started reading 2004 rules again cause at the top of the sticky thread. That was my initial thought, but confused myself by reading again :-). yea, we changed that rule two years ago because it was too hard to track. as it stands now, any player who played in more than three seasons is not exempt. we are just buying a house now after our move back to California last summer. Thats what I had thought, I should have known reading was bad ;-).

  9. Question on Eric Bedard? In 2002 he pitched 0.2 innings, and none in 2003. I highly doubt anyone had him on an active roster in 2002, thus making 2004 his first exempt season and 2006 his last. Am I correct on this? I'm keeping him either way, but it will play a role in my 9th and 10th man.
  10. Well just moving in with my girlfriend until we move again this summer/winter. Where you going?
  11. actually, DB Coopers is still almost 1900 points over the limit so you aren't last! If you have an R by your team name in the draft order, your roster is approved. If there is a $, I received your money. If I find a problem with your roster, I will send you a message. I'm on it. Moving sucks :-).
  12. seriously?
  13. If he's done, you've got some cutting to do! Almost done. I didn't realize Grienke came back last season to finish the last week of the season in the majors. Thought he ended in the minors.
  14. care to throw in utley? :D Utley is very popular, and being I have had him for a while I do like him :-).
  15. Is Zach Grineke eligible to go back on to the minor league roster?
  16. Cliff Lee or Eric Bedard could be yours. Prefer a draft pick, or a prospect.
  17. Its good to see that he can take time off from beating his wife to play for Mexico again. What is he 40 now? Although I would not mind seeing him with his little jump move he was able to pull off a bunch about 4 years ago :-).
  18. Wow, that's great news! I know we have to be careful in getting excited about good news related to Prior, but this is outstanding to hear! If Prior is healthy we run away with this division. If I scratch off a lottery ticket, I could win :-).
  19. I bet it revives though. Colorado needs to trade him, Boston wants him and they were close it sounded like.
  20. Ortiz always hits 3, Manny 4. If they retain Youk and get rid of lowell, I think they should go with the following lineup Youk Helton Ortiz Manny Drew Tek Crisp Lugo 2b That was my initial line thought. I can't decide if I would want Helton 2nd or 5th. I'm not sure it really matters, and I don't think their is a wrong answer. If the move happened they need to have a live camara shot of Steinbrenner when they announce it :-)
  21. and Nick Saben is not going to Alabama ;-) Huh? Lovie Smith =/= Nick Saban Just a joke, no connection between the two.
  22. and Nick Saben is not going to Alabama ;-)
  23. I hate Chelsea but I like this move for him assuming he plays on a regular basis. Still its a nice little upgrade for him from the almost Fulham move he made. Also reported Chicago missed out on signing Zidane, as they did try to lure him out of retirement. Had MLS signed Beckham and Zidane in the same month that would have been a huge upswing for the league prior to the season opening. Still with that being said I am very happy to see them attempting something. The Fire also went after Henrik Larsson and Brian McBride, but no luck. Suprised no attempt at Rolnaldo.
  24. Not to mention the tv ratings for the entire postseason. We got a glimpse of the potential in 2003. A World Series appearance would be insane. Should they play the Red Sox or Yankees in it, god know how much money they will be bringing in.
  25. I can't wait to see him do his first dance after he scores his first goal in England :-)
