  1. His 1st commercial skit is great :-).
  2. Damn. We're totally not going to get the 2018 World Cup. England? Could still get it in 2014. Columbia has no shot in hell IMO which pretty much just leaves Brazil. They are probably just 50-50 too. If it goes to England in 2018 that would be pretty nice to go to. If that happened I would think the US would be a lock for 2022. It's possible but if FIFA is saying the rotation might end in 2018, that implies it won't end in 2014. I agree that Columbia has no shot, but I've pretty much assumed it'll be Brazil, as FIFA seems intent on South America. It'd be quite fun to go in 2018 to England, agreed. Let's hope the US gets it back in 2022, if so. With security being the #1 concern by FIFA now I am not sold on Brazil being able to have things in line within 2-3 years which I am assuming will be FIFA's deadline. The 2018 bids between the US and England will probably be the most impressive bids FIFA has ever recieved which is why I think both countries are a lock for 2018 & 2022. Its just a matter of what order they will be in. Both countries being on the front lines of economy, security, and the potential venues will be amazing. Dallas might not be the high profile city for the US, but the new Texas stadium will be the mecca of US stadiums.

  4. At least it's red. It's a fantastic shirt. If the US plays Mexico in the final I'm finding some sort of anti-Tricolores shirt to wear. It needs to have some reference to 'dos a cero' in it, of course. http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=477415&page=12 Awesome shirt. I'm considering ordering one. That is sweet. I liked the idea of wearing it on Cinco De Mayo too ;-)
  5. The cut Domanick Davis as well. Their GM should realize that you can, you know, trade players that are on your team and get something back. It said in my link that they tried to find somebody to trade Carr to, but nobody would trade anything for him. I heard that the reason nobody would trade for him is becuase they would then have to take on his current contract which called for him to make over $11 million this year. I also heard that there will be interest and have heard Miami quite a bit - after they release Daunte Culpepper. They could have tried to restructure with him just for the purpose of a trade. See the Adam Archuleta deal. Here is my opinion of the Texans. They simply don't understand how to make deals in the NFL. 1) Mario Williams - Regardless of your Reggie Bush opinion, they could have easily dealt down and still got Williams 2) Matt Scaub - Seriously, who in the NFL even came close to the Texans offer. It is like they picked up the phone and asked them what they wanted for Schuab and said yes to their first answer 3) David Carr - Again, no effort to swing a trade. It is like this organization doesn't even care. Probably one of the 10 worst franchises in US profesional sports. Sadly the Blackhawks are probably the worst. Dallas seems to have made the best of the offseason though.
  6. I don't think so. Security and projectability as a young catcher are very hard to predict. He might lose money by not going to arbi in a few years, but he might not even be healthy come then either. I think its a good move by both parties.
  7. Thad Matta ain't leaving he has an NBA team lined up for him. He has like 16 5 stars already committed. Plus OSU can spend some moeny too. Just ask Greg Oden  Glad to see Rick Barnes name not being mentioned.
  8. somewhere Ryan Howard's agent is making a few phone calls.
  9. He can go over to right field too. I have no problem trading Pie to make room for Arod.
  10. Eccentric is one way to put it. I'll enjoy watching Pink Floyd go nuts having to deal with OJ. :) ETA: http://deadspin.com/sports/high-school-basketball/oj-mayo-signing-off-in-style-245625.php I wonder how much they paid for him ;-)
  11. Before you know it we will have a BSC type system to determine who all goes.
  12. espn.com reporting Durant 50-50 in going to the NBA. I'll gladly take those odds as they aqre better than I had hoped for :-).
  13. Thats how I felt when I first saw the braket for A&M-CC. They were constantly projected as either a 13 or 14 seed for the past month on most every site. Being their 1st trip and such a young program I don't think the NCAA gave them much of a chance. Of course had they beaten UNLV in Vegas like they could have that would have given them their key win to boost their rating.
  14. I'm proud of them, they scared the hell out of Wisconsin. I was just hoping they could keep up with them for most of the game, never thought they would actually take an 18 point lead on them? All in all it would have made for a great story given their history.
  15. I know we get worried about the contracts that were signed in the offseason, but I don't think it will be hard to deal them. Besides once Mark Cuban has full control of this team, do you really think he won't sign Arod
  16. Why are the espn NCAA experts so freaking boring? They all pick 3 #1 seeds to go to the Final Four and in the elite eight they all pretty much have 1 vs 2 matchups. Do none of them have any balls?
  17. They definatly have the easiest road.
  18. Awful. I don't disagree with that too much.
  19. I like what I'm seeing out of Kansas right now. I realize they're down 10 and were down almost 20 earlier but that was with Durant being himself (i.e. superhuman). They weathered the storm and now have Texas lead down to 7. EDIT: KU down only 5 at halftime. How imporant is DJ Augustine for Texas. Texas still has a lot to learn before the tourney.
  20. Kevin Durant might be the best player of the last decade. He is unreal.
  21. About as ugly as the camara work inthe Texas A&M - Corpus Christi game on the duece. This much be where all of espn's interns are.
  22. This is absolutely great news! Now I'm kinda split on what our draft needs are. I'm a big Pat Watkins supporter, and I'm really against drafting a CB in the first because IMO Henry is staying at CB and we've already got quite a bit of money invested there. The offensive line is solidified now, so there's no need for that. WR is interesting since it is such a deep draft for them, but I really like the group we've got with TO, Glenn, Crayton, Austin, and Hurd. We could use a nickel CB, but I like McCauley in 2nd/3rd round area. A backup C is needed too since Johnson left, but Young out of Fresno St. is decent and could be gotten on on day 2. There aren't really any prototypical NT's this year, but players like Soliai, Doughty, Dagunduro could all be had on 2nd day as well. Reggie Nelson is the only person I would really love to see in the first and I doubt he makes it that far. I think there's a decent chance Nelson falls to 22. It's not a certainty, but in this draft it could happen. I want that shut-down free safety. I'd love to get Landry, but he'll be picked with the 8-14 pick, I'm sure. Nelson has a chance to fall to 22, and if so Dallas should take him. If Nelson is gone, I'd like to see the Cowboys trade down. If they can trade the 22nd for two picks in the range of 30-40, they may be able to get Michael Griffin out of Texas and Meacham or Craig Davis. I didn't get to watch any football outside of the Thanksgiving Day games this year, but it's my understanding that Griffin is more of a SS than a FS? Maybe we could trade down to say Oakland for their 2nd this year, and 1st next year and try for Kenny Phillips. Meachem, Bowe, Rice, and possibly Jarrett would be there at the top of the 2nd. I have never been real happy with our RB. Pending his physical I would not mind taking a flyier on Michael Bush and trading JJ. Outside of that the secondary is the biggest need by far. As for that other team in Texas, espn.com is reporting they might have some interest in Quinn. Why try to correct last seasons biggest mistake?
  23. Texas wins by 5. Durant has 29 points 15 rebounds, and played maybe his worst game of the year. Maybe 2nd worst.
  24. Texas up 3 now 69-66. Durant is 1 point away from another 25 point half :-).
  25. i thought they were both live last week, I could easily be wrong as I didn't get to pay much attention to it.
