    The US gets Uruguay in the round of 16. They are a tough team to get an idea of looking at the groups. Tied Spain who won the group and lost to Zambia 2-0. Overall 3 goals for and 4 against. Hopefully the US offense will continue to attack throughout the entire match, as they have scored the most goals of any team so far. Brazil get through but draw Spain in the next game. Potential Mexico-Argentina matchup in the Quarterfinals.

    I am pretty much against anything at catcher unless it involves Soto or getting Salty.

    I don't think the Twin will be sellers at the deadline. In fact, they might be closer to a playoff spot than we are. If that's the case they won't be looking to deal Hunter. Yeah, but it sucks for them that he'll sign with Texas and the Twins won't get their first round draft pick. I'm hearing a lot of rumblings that the Yankees will go hard after Hunter this offseason. If they don't make the playoffs they might be going after around 15-20 guys this offseason.

    I was getting ready to say he should. I think it was West Virgina that initially recruited him.

    I've also been very impressed with Zizzo and Sztella, not so much Danny tonight but overall in the 1st two games he played very well. Zizzo attacks more as a midfielder than anyone on the national team. It was a great win that sets them up to go further in the tourney. Oh and right now 3 Americans and 1 Argentinian are tied for the Golden Boot. That is very refreshing, and not since Landon and DeMarcus finished 1 and 2 in that many years ago.

    I have no clue. Decided to go to a sports bar that carries espn in hd. Of course the game has to actually be broadcast in hd too.

    I don't think so, plus that actually gives me HD options to watch it on now :-). I'm very excited, especially after not giving a damn about the entire Copa America.

    Tonight's game vs. Brazil will now be televised on ESPN and ESPNU. I don't think it was initially on ESPN regular coverage. Either way now everyone has a chance to watch them tonight ;-)

    I hope he does. He deserves a good break more than anyone on the team or MLB imo. If he never pitches another game again he will still be one of my favorite Cubs of all time.

    Thats my thought, short term doesn't matter too much. Any ideas on much more the team would sell for should they make the playoffs. The franchise is already extremely valuable, but the renewed fresh playoff craze could energize the buyers just a bit more.

    How exactly is luxary tax calculated. Is it based on end of season payroll, begining of season payroll, or probably the actual amount of payroll you spend spent throughout the entire season counting in payroll before and after trades? If the Yankees wanted to trade Posada, I could easily see him resigning with them in the offseason. If Arod wanted to catch every 5th day I would let him. I could careless where he would play, SS, 2nd, RF, anywhere would be fine with me. Getting Arod would easily top the excitement I felt when we got Nomar, and that was just awesome.

    When Lee serves his suspension, it might be a great time to call up Soto since he has been getting some 1st base duties in Iowa overcoming his injuries.
