  1. and hopefully Champions League appearances.
  2. Give Adu a couple of years at Benfica and he'll really be something. Can't wait 'til Jozy heads over to Europe. Almost the entire u-20 team needs to go :-). Someone needs to teach Zizzo how to take a shot.
  3. I thought he was 56 ;-).
  4. Your common sense has no place in this thread! The problem is we have not developed a hitting prospect almost since the conception of the internet. If Pie fully develops I really don't see him becoming much better than Rios if any at all. Its not as if we will not have the resources to resign him, so I would make a trading involving Pie for Rios.
  5. I think we could use one, but unless its a real upgrade and some with at minimum #3 quality then no. I just don't think anyone is really available.
  6. How exactly do you go about replacing Hill? He's a top 20-40 starter in the game under team control for the forseeable future. Wow, that is a bold statement. I think that that this is wildly untrue but I would be happy to listen to you prove it. I'm a bit late, but since you asked me and I'm not a huge fan of VORP, I'll lay it out for you. As of today, among qualified starters(or at least 80 IP) Hill is: 31st in ERA 13th in WHIP 19th in K/9 34th in K/BB 21st in Average Game Score (whatever that's worth) 13th in Batting Average against 18th in OBP against 27th in OPS against So, there you have it. What's the justification for Hill being outside the Top 40? He only has 1 pitch........ To be fair he does have two pitches.
  7. I'd do it. Its a risk, but could be a good trade for both teams.
  8. Baseball and hockey and would rank at the bottom of all sports in terms of gambling potential. College football I would watch very closely though, followed by the NFL.
  9. Galaxy actually playing pretty well and have had two great chances, with one great save by Chek. Cobi Jones has no business being out there though.
  10. This might feel like a 4th round FA Cup game for Chelsea.
  11. While that would be nice, I am still holding out for the Browns to continue there suckiness, and that 1st round pick for Quinn turns into Darren McFadden. I'd happily take Larry Johnson...but yes, I'd like to have McFadden as well. All we have to do is convince them to start Brady Quinn from the outset. Hello, first pick. Whats the status of Joe Thomas. Quinn should wait for him to sign before he signs. He might of already, I don't remember.
  12. They should and will. it's also rumored that Celtic is interested. $2.5 Million is a bit low IMO. However they can't wait too much longer. Hopefully they will just try to get him into the best possible situation.
  13. I love you. Just try to pretend that was coming out of his avatar's mouth, not actually him ;-).
  14. While that would be nice, I am still holding out for the Browns to continue there suckiness, and that 1st round pick for Quinn turns into Darren McFadden.
  15. What do we need another SP for? Every single one has done his job. Looking into a Playoff Rotation are you comfortable with anyone we have as our #3 starter. Zambrano is great, Lilly is solid, but after that I am little uncertain. Hill could easily run away with it with a solid August and September, but right now its anyone guess.
  16. If we can get Griffey or Cabrera for him then dump him ;-).
  17. Will he join him in the Hooters outfit :-&
  18. where did you get that picture in your sig? I want that shirt. It had to be an ebay auction. That's the only place I've ever seen pictures with that little camera in the bottom right corner. It is, already ordered one myself :-). http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280136069085&ssPageName=MERC_VIC_RCRX_Pr4_PcY_BIN_IT&refitem=280135705119&itemcount=4&refwidgetloc=closed_view_item&usedrule1=CrossSell_LogicX&refwidgettype=cross_promot_widget
  19. I think once we catch the Brewers they are going to collapse under the pressure :-).
  20. Always like Stairs, as did many others.
  21. Have we had any "speed kills" references today?
  22. Holy Crap http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=446726&cc=5901
  23. I have to admit that I am excited to see Beckham in the MLS. 250,000 jerseys sold to date. Real's director of marketing has said Beckham was worth about $600 million in marketing revenue's for the club. And in light of athletes like Vick, Beckham has always seemed like a great person.
  24. Very nice by Angel, he still has a lot of quickness.
