  1. Including Marshall would be even worse!!!! have we been watching the same Marshall who just keeps losing velocity....he was barely breaking 80 at times last year....Marshall can go IMO I have no idea what his velocity was last year, but I'd be happy to have him as the fifth starter. Too bad the Cubs don't seem agree. If Hendry were so willing to part with Marshall et al this deal would have been done already. I don't really think that is the sticking point. Without Angelos I think a trade is done a month or two ago.
  2. Including Marshall would be even worse!!!! Think they are just listing names of players who have come up not saying that is a potential deal. I don't see both marshall and Gallagher being involved, one or the other.
  3. I honestly think this thread has affected the way people think about Roberts :D .
  4. That OBP would look real solid for a leadoff man. Not to mention that he's going to be 30 this year, so that seems a good choice to get. As for the players that the Cubs might be parting to Baltimore, to me, that seems a fair deal. With 50 steals too. If we are stuck with Theriot in the 2 spot having Roberts leadoff actually might make him better. Lots of hit and runs before front of the 3-4-5.
  5. With Derosa condition and Aramis's potential for at least a short stent on the DL I would pull the trigger. I too assume Derosa will be fine, and Derosa can fill in too for Aramis if needed. As much as I really like Derosa and as a leader on this team I think Roberts will be nice upgrade and a legit reason to move Soriano down in the order.

  7. Good to see both Zambrano and Hill throwing a good amount of strikes.
  8. Thats pretty much the way I am feeling. I don't want to go out West as a #1 with UCLA. Though I am not sure where it would be better as a #2. Just make it to the final four in San Antonio and let the crowd hopefully help pull some magic.
  9. He did also say that he still expected the Cubs to get Roberts. He did not speculate on how many pages this absurd thread would go before the deal would get done though.
  10. This kind of feels like the whole Mike Lowell thing from many years back.
  11. Not sure if this typical or not of running backs. I bolded all his runs under 3 and over 10. MIZZOU: 7, 1, 7, 1, 6, -3, 4, 1, 1, 19, 0, 3, 9, 0, 7, 3, 9, 18, 9, 0, 3 LSU: 2, 4, 5, 3, 7, 1, 12, 6, 4, 14, 2, 5, 7, 5, 2, 7, -3, 73, 3, -1, 2, -1, 1, 7, 6, 5, 5, 0, 4, 3, 9, 10 MSU: 3, -1, 4, 1, 2, 2, 0, 2, -1, 15, 1, 2, 3, 9, 5, 1, -1, 2, -2, 3, 3 TENN: 11, 1, -1, 4, 4, 6, 5, 2, 0, 8, 3, 3, 4, 7, 5, 4, 19, 2, 8, 20, 1, 0 SC: 1, 3, 14, 2, 2, 3, 3, 3, 13, 3, 2, -3, 9, 7, 2, 26, -2, 19, 2, 6, 13, 16, 1, 35, 4, 5, 3, 80, 12, 5, 7, 4, 3, 18 UM: -5, 5, 30, 8, 0, -1, 0, 3, 4, 2, 8, 5, 16, 1, 5, 11, 4, 6, 3, 3, 1, 4, AUB: -2, 9, 6, 4, 4, 0, 5, 4, 1, 4, 2, 2, 2, 0, 13, -2, 3 UK: 1, 8, 2, 4, 3, -2, 5, 6, 11, 1, 2, 1, 3, 0, 1, 19, 56, 2, 5, 4, 5, 9, 11, 3, 2, 1, 6, 2, 2 BAMA: 6, 2, 3, 1, 2, 6, 4, 2, 14, 3, 8, 1, 5, 3, 6, 24, 3, 6, 5, 1, 6, 1, 13, 7, 3, 1, 11, 1, 6, 8, 12, 5, 20, 1 What does this prove? First of all it shows most of his runs were between 3-9. Kinda like every other RB in the history of Earth. Your greatly exaggerated example had 1 run between 3-9, out of 10. And for the record, AD's 224 yard game vs. the Bears. He had 20 carries, all but 2 were less than 3 or more than 10. I'm pretty sure if we broke down Emmitt Smith we would find much of the same.
  12. Or this guy if talking about actual football players. Guys this big should not be allowed to be this fast. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tdvVaTbwMrE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TGUYLbsf514&feature=related
  13. He is by far the most enjoyable fun to watch RB I have ever seen. Its hard to tackle what you can't even touch.
  14. CNNSI Post-Combine Mock Draft http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/writers/don_banks/02/28/mock.draft3.part1/index.html Writers love the idea of the Cowboys moving up to get McFadden.
  15. It would be really funny if the Cowboys signed Randy Moss this offseason. Him and Owens on the team at the same time could produce some real magic ;-).
  16. yeah that thing looked really stupid all along. Would have looked cool if it was the result of a Wood fastball to the chin
  17. Big Red Field would really stink, wouldn't it? Or Old Style Field. I am almost suprised American Sports have not sold advertisments on the jerseys like we see in soccer, given the amount of money to be made in jersey sales.
  18. Eduardo was released from the hospital today, and is expected to make a full recovery in about 9 months. Still that is the type of injury that could linger in the back of his mind for many years. Also here is a Dempsey article in regards to possible relegation. If Fulham fail to make it out of the relegation zone I would expect him to be sold, or at least hope he would be. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/columns/story?id=511710&root=england&lpos=spotlight&lid=tab1pos1&cc=5901
  19. I guess Josh Hancock didn't make much of an impression on this team. I expect players to make mistakes, I expect players to drink, but my god your a freaking millionaire own up to your mistakes.
  20. Honestly, who didn't see this coming? Tennessee is about as convincing a #1 team as South Florida was a #2 in CFB Yeah I saw it coming too. Tennessee is a little more convincing than South Florida, but timing is everything in rankings.
  21. Tenn. down 6 to Vandy with 3 minutes to go. Vandy going for 4 straight wins over the #1 team in the country. 8 point lead now :-).
  22. I doubt Jones trades up for him. The cost is too much. I could end up surprised, but the talk out of Dallas is that the Cowboys will not move up. There is really no need too even though I would love for McFadden to be with Dallas next year. I've said I am more than happy with taking Felix Jones with one of the two first round picks. They already have strength at RB with Barber, but if Jones falls to in love with a player from his alma mater who knows. He is a little bit crazy. WR is pretty deep this year.
  23. As much as people dislike Hendry and while I agree some of his contract have not been good, we could be a lot worse off.
  24. As bad as Mizzou is, it's hard to beat any team who makes 40 3 pointers in one game. 59 points in the 2nd half for Mizzou did it. They shot 70% in the 2nd half and 60% for 3's.
  25. I'll take it, another good road win too. If they could have won just one of the two Big 10 games this year it would have been very impressive. Tech is tough at home too so they are not clear yet. Tonight was one of their worst FT shooting games of the year, but happy they out rebounded them.
