I haven't seen much of Stanford, but they didn't look good last night. Not to mention Brook Lopez has to be the ugliest looking player in the NCAA.

The Memphis-Texas game should be very enjoyable. Hopefully Memphis can't shoot at that rate again.

Holy freakin crap that was a great strike. Wow. I'm just...wow. I am struggling to think of any other current 'nat who could do that properly without shanking it. I've seen Jozy do it in the game against the Galaxy last year. Freddy could, but not as powerfully and I'm not sure he could put himself in that position. While admittedly I wasn't thinking of Jozy or Freddy, the only "current" or former player I can think of who I would have had confidence in their ability not to spike themselves or shank it would have been Clint Mathis. I think Freddy would not have had the strength to be in that position. Jozy, no doubt, could. I've seen Dempsey miss those badly, and you rarely see Donovan inside the penalty spot anymore. Mathis was such a talented player. It's too bad his attitude and his knee let him down. I still can't believe just how much he has progressed this past year. 4th in Holland in goals this year. Hopefully Heerenveen can qualify for Champions League. At the very worst they will be headed to the UEFA cup. Now he just needs to carry some of this over to the National Team this summer.

So where does Dempsey go next season. Hopefully he gets transfered to a club in the Premiership. Man City and Portsmouth could use a 2nd striker.

Tied for 16th as well. Have all of my Elite 8 alive, and 14 of 16 swet 16. However taking a slight risk on the national champion, so I am geussing I won't win it.

Ditto, only I have Arizona instead of WVU. I've seen several and this definitely isn't his typical game. I assumed that hopefully they get past this game and he has one of his stronger games against Wisconsin because I picked them to go the sweet 16 then losing to Georgetown. Same. I don't think Wisconsin has the talent to overcome someone like Beasley. The Badgers might make a game with USC, but at the rate things are going for the Trojans, I'm back and forth on it. OJ Mayo could kill the Badgers. Might make it a game against USC? You think a higher seeded team coached by Bo Ryan is going to lose to a lower seeded team coached by Frank Martin? I don't think you understand what Wisconsin is. Yeah, that's a strange statement. Wisconsin is not as flashy, but is monumentally better than USC or KState. If either beats Wisconsin, it'll likely be one of the top upsets of the tournament. I think KState would matchup pretty well vs. Wisconsin. If Wisconsin has to score 70 points I would think they would be in trouble. Yes, if the scoring gets that high, Wisconsin could be in trouble. Problem is, only Duke, Marquette and Purdue (Wisky's kryptonite) have scored more than 66 points against the Badgers this year. Getting it to the 70's is much, much easier said than done. On paper, I think K-State matches up well with Wisconsin. In actuality, when coaching and discipline are factored in, I think K-State is the kind of team Wisconsin is likely to feast on (slowly, of course, but surely). The Walker-Beasley duo is maybe the best in the nation. I dont see any Big 10 team that features the offense that KState has. If they can slow one of those down, I think Wis. wins very easily. Purdue may be the one team that closely resembles Kstate and Wisconsin lost both games to them.

Texas A&M Corpus Christi had a great chance to knock off Wisconsin as a #15 seed last year. I would love to see someone do it this year. Except for the Texas game tomorrow, that would be very bad.

Crap getting bumped to the A&M-BYU game. I expect this to be a fully dull and boring game.
