  1. That guy is a stupid foul machine. If this is the reason Inter blows it this year, that's going to be a dick punch to the fans. Liverpool has to take advantage now. They really don't want to take a tie back to Milan.
  2. I think DJ Augustine's slump is over. 17 points in the first half, 4 assists, 0 turnovers, 3/5 in 3 pointers. Not a bad first half at all either for the whole team with a 39-18 lead at the half.
  3. I never thought of it that way. More reason to hate him :banghead:
  4. #-o . Its amazing just how stupid this kid is. As much as I wanted him at Texas, and as pissed as I was for the way he conducted things, I am glad he decommited.
  5. Outside of MLB experience how is Willits really any different from Fuld?
  6. That makes two of us.
  7. Can we make "Pattersondom" an official dictonary word?
  8. Ronaldinho's prime has been much much shorter than Ronaldo's IMO. I don't think he is even the best player on his own team anymore as I would in all likelyhood take Messi over him. I truely don't think I have seen a player dominate a game they way Ronaldo did for the past 15+ years. Ronaldo was the complete striker, size, power, speed, strength, ect. He could beat you anyway possible. I think his complete skill was pretty much hidden in the role he served on every team. He never had to do any of the things that Ronaldinho. Its pretty much just a choice of personal preference. I don't think you could really go wrong with either choice. If I had to pick I would take Ronaldo.
  9. I would disagree. It gives the state of Texas both teams in the AL and NL and given the geographic distance between Texas and other teams in baseball it makes more sense for MLB to keep the market open to both leagues. I like the KC idea too, it gives both Billy Butler and Alex Gordon a chance to see their future home on a regular basis.
  10. Seep Blatter has vowed to block the EPL's bid to stage matches around the world, and has stated this simply won't happen while he is the president. Less than 48 hours till Arsenal-ManU FA Cup. :yahoo:
  11. and we have a link http://abcnews.go.com/Sports/wireStory?id=4294063
  12. 73 hr record in 2001 according to Rueters. Breaking news on top of ABCnews.com
  13. I would like to hear a private conversation between Clemens and Petitte now
  14. I forgot how stupid his hair was in 2002, but Brazil are probably a Quarterfinal team at best without him.
  15. His career might have ended a little young, but considering he was 17 at his first WC on the bench for Brazil in '94. First of 3 POY at age 20 and a 5 year gap between his 2nd and 3rd. What he did in 2002 after the major surguries he had was magical. During his peak he might have been the most dominant player of the last 25 years.
  16. Nothing funny at all about the idea of Dempster pitching 200 innings for us this year. :banghead: It's actually a little concerning that he thinks he's going to pitch 200 innings this year. If Dempster reaches 200 innings that will mean he had a pretty damn good season. I just don't see that happening. The season AFTER Shawn Estes left the Cubs, he was allowed to pitch 200 innings for a ML club, and posted a 1.624 whip and an 84 ERA+. I wouldn't be too confident 200 innings automatically means success. We have other guys ready to go if Dempster doesn't pitch well. Still he has to win the position, its not like he has started at all the past several years.

  18. Better than the hooters costume he has! the batter might be seeing 3 balls during the windup.
  19. My understanding is that Sampson lied to IU officials and the investigators that IU hired. I don't believe the NCAA has spoken to him personally yet. Not that it matters, in either case he looks equally bad. *edit* - I reread the report and he lied to both parties. Great. The 100 calls are the calls that Rob Senderhoff made. Sampson did not make those calls. Although Sampson is by default taking the blame for all of this as the NCAA is accusing him of not establishing an environment of compliance...and I don't think they believe he lacked knowledge of what Senderhoff was doing. In any case, fire Sampson. I feel like a dope for giving the guy the benefit of the doubt. IU should prepare for Sampson the same way Californian's prepare for an earthquake. You know its coming, you don't know how big or bad its going to be, but you do know there will be some destruction and a lot of clean up afterwards.
  20. They have to fire him. Have to. Its pretty much to a point to where you expect him to get busted for something some time soon. Its just a matter of time.
  21. currently, yes. previously, no Of course. My post was just marveling at Wenger's abilities to assess his players and get the most out of his squad. I picked Arsenal 4th this year and thought they would struggle to score without TH. Wenger is easily the coach of the year IMO. I am almost suprised that no country has ever come in and offered him the world. I don't think even Wenger would have thought his team would have played this well this season.
  22. currently, yes. previously, no Henry in his prime was simply unstoppable. If Adebayor reaches what Henry had done, he will be a very very special player. He already is, but no where close to what Henry was. With that said I am very excited about the future of Arsenal.
  23. Wow Augustine doesn't make his first field goal until 5 minutes left in the game yet Texas is leading. Not exactly what I would expect under those circumstances, yet I will take it.
  24. Texas has been flat for the past month with the exception of the Texas Tech game. If they can establish anything inside I think they have a slight chance.
