  1. If he continues to hit better he will start to get some cheers at Wrigley.
  2. he should just go around peeing on reporters hands.
  3. I wouldn't. Neither would the Indians. with an extension would you? For a 27-year-old pitcher with a career 114 ERA+ (including 143 and 140 the last two years) who seems pretty durable, I absolutely would do that deal. Having Zambrano and Sabathia as 1-2 in our rotation -- in their primes -- for the next five years would be awesome. I agree. I would probably do it without an extension as well.

  5. My 3-year-old son, whose name is Ryan, told me this weekend that his favorite baseball player is now Ryan Theriot. Do you believe in spanking? =D> I would go buy a Nolan Ryan or Ryan Sandberg poster and put it in his room now. Give me your Cubs fan card, now. I changed that while I was clicking submit. oh well.

  7. This team has so much grit ;-) DLee needs to have Grace take him to a bar later tonight to break out of this.
  8. Texas season ended today. Disappointing year, lots of new faces expected next year too.
  9. ------------------------Dempsey--------------- ---------------Adu------------------------------ Lewis--------------Bradley------------Beasley -----------------Mastroeni---------------------- Pearce----Bocanegra---Onyewu---Cherundolo --------------------Howard---------------------- I guess that's what I'd go with. Either Mastroeni or Edu backing the midfield allowing Bradley to get forward. If Freddy Adu doesn't play more than 70 minutes in this game, I'm pissed. If we see another 4-4-2 with Johnson and Wolff up front Bradley needs to be fired.
  10. I believe thats 5%
  11. Can't say I am suprised.
  12. Um, the phrase is "moo point" No, it's "moot point" http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/moot_point If this was an inside joke or something else that went over my head, forgive me. No, it's moo point. Duh. Like a cow's opinion. It doesn't matter. beautiful The rare Friends reference on NSBB. So thats where I heard this, been driving me crazy.
  13. EURO pick-em is now ready Group Name: NSBB Password: altidore (lower case) http://games.espn.go.com/euro/frontpage
  14. For all of their problems so far, the AL Central is so bad this year that they could get back into it with a minor winning streak. The White Sox have won, but their hitters are showing signs of old age and Guillen's rants will add to their downfall. The Twins always seem to be competitve, but they're a flawed team. Who knows what happened to the Tigers. I still think the Indians take this division. 2nd
  15. ---SOAPDROPPING--- OU ;) If Georiga finishes in the top 3 this year Matthew Stafford will end up cracking the top 10 for Heisman and end up being really high on the list.
  16. I hope he doesn't go. I don't like United but I despise Real. As bad as people think the Yankees are calling them the evil empire, they got nothing on Madrid.
  17. Almost worried about him taking the ROY away from Soto
  18. Nothing wrong with cheering for a school that has an enrollment of about 5,000 to win the National Championship :-).
  19. In great news, Rocco Baldelli resumed playing today for the 1st time in about a year. It's only extended spring training, but still for a guy a couple of months ago we didn't know if he would ever play again.
  20. That sucks, still have a very good squad without him.
  21. A year away from FA, and Baltimore doesn't have a lot of reason to trade him. However he is great away from Camden, we have a history with Baltimore though the this past offseason might have spoiled our relationship with them a little bit. His only real issue is the amount of walks and HR's (again away from home and this changes). No real reason for them to trade him but it shouldn't cost any more to get him than it would have Roberts. Come time for October though it will give the Cubs 4 really good options to start.

  23. The Red Sox have been amazing at home. The Cubs have always been inconsistent, so this has been very nice to see. Of course being able to win every possible way this year really helps.
