  1. Also by "deal structure" he means DEAL STRUCTURE. That author is freakin idiot. Zell wanted the deal structure to be heavily based on leveraging debt to avoid taxes. With the credit crisis, that obviously has to change. I emailed him about that and he claims that he specifically asked Cuban if he was referring to the price. I'm just thinking that was a polite way of brushing off the question without having to provide a much more complicated answer, but what do I know. He may have said deal structure - and of course, the structure will have to change - but I think it is obvious at this point that the price is also going to come down. Deflation doesn't just affect the price of oil and cookies. But it hasn't yet dropped the price of Lap Dances.
  2. So who is now leading the Heisman race? Even though Bradford lost he had a hell of a game, McCoy's numbers were not as impressive however watching how he carried the team to victory was very impressive if not more impressive. Daniel's isn't having a great game and on the verge of losing. Of course players outside of the Big XII deserve consideration too.
  3. This is been impressive tonight by Penn State. I think they showed they have played the weakest schedule of all the Top 10 teams so far, but tonights win and begun to convince me otherwise. I thought Wisconsin was going to put up a real good fight tonight.
  4. Jamaica also beat Mexico 1-0 today :-)
  5. Tim Alderson please. I wish. Repeat of the AJ Pierzynski I hope.
  6. This begins a stretch for Texas of #1 OU, #3 Mizzou, #17 Oklahoma State, and @ #7 Texas Tech. You want to root for Texas. Its freaking brutal, and OSU plays Texas very well for the past 4 years.
  7. the only reason i didn't look like that on that day is because i knew that beat down was coming. two of my friends spent 200 apiece bucks for nosebleed seats in the middle of 10,000 texas fans. that was a bad move. anyway, i'd post a bunch of pictures from our 5 year win streak over texas this decade, but since meph has been a texas fan for two weeks, he wouldn't know who any of the players were. The last game I went too I remember this one kid from OU all dressed up who was all alone sitting in the Texas half. I would rather watch the game at home than sit on the opponents section for this game. Texas won too so that made it even better :-).
  8. Little over 36 hours till game time. Its nice not having any of the pressure on this game :-).
  9. What I gather is that it better happen sooner rather than later for his sake, and I am betting he will push to make this happen. This is a sale that he can't really afford to wait on. Before the opening of FA please!
  10. I've been saying for about 3 years that he will replace Mack Brown someday as HC.
  11. this years' team kind of reminds me of hte 03 team (i like this years' RBs better than jones/works *puke*) and that team ung almost a million points on the,, so who knows. BUT as good as our secondary has been (and LBs for that matter) a lot of it is because of the press our dline gets. And with no granger and a potentially hobbled mccoy, texas is a team that can expose whatever weaknesses are back there. Mccoy is a stud and i kind of find it hard to hate him. I would love for them to have a chris simms qb again that i could literally hate with every fiber of my being again I'm hoping more for a Major Applewhite :-)
  12. Dallas/Arizona could be very interesting as the Dallas secondary has had some injury problems. Whats the over/under on that game?
  13. That's the thing. If they play OU or MU, they'll need a huge push up front to disrupt their QBs. Otherwise both those guys will pick any team apart. The completion% right now in the Big12 is insane: 1. Colt McCoy, Texas 103 130 1280 79.2 2. Chase Daniel, Missouri 119 156 1665 76.3 3. Sam Bradford, Oklahoma 106 146 1665 72.6 4. Zac Robinson, Oklahoma St 62 86 1035 72.1 5. Todd Reesing, Kansas 144 205 1724 70.2 6. Graham Harrell, Texas Tech 158 237 2027 66.7 Plus the Big12 has some of the best Olines right now in College.
  14. I think this game is going to come down to turnovers and special teams. OU has a bit more pressure on them to win this game, but beating Texas is something they know how to do. Texas has played better than I had thought they would all season, but need to run the ball a little better and showed signs of it last week. The Texas secondary makes me a bit nervous being so young.
  15. You might want to tell her to watch out for wearing crimson. Its a really great game to go to. Here is a list of fried foods this year. Thats right Chicken Fried Bacon... http://www.bigtex.com/foodlocator/
  16. You can probably throw KU on the upset alert in any game they're favored in for the rest of the year. Though we do play a lot better at home. Wisconsin at home on the verge of going 0-3 in the Big10, and should have beaten OSU last weekend. I would put Penn St on high upset alert.
  17. I like Felix Jones :-)
  18. You ready IMB! Its not like we have any baseball to think or worry about.
  19. Its all so subjective right now its hard to really say any of the top 6 are getting screwed, plus it doesn't really matter. It will even itself out over the next 4 weeks. If USC or OSU make the title game ahead of any 1 loss SEC or Big 12 team then we can all talk about someone getting screwed :-). The Big 12 South is looking really brutal, add in Mizzou and there are 5 legit teams that can win every week with their offenses.
  20. Is it that much worse than rotating? Don't want rotating either. Whoever has the best record or like mentioned best interleague record heading into the WS gets homefield.
  21. Drop the All-Star game winner getting home field advantage in the WS first and foremost.
  22. New USA Today Poll: 1. Oklahoma (60) 5-0 1,524 2. Missouri 5-0 1,404 3. LSU (1) 4-0 1,398 4. Alabama 6-0 1,339 5. Texas 5-0 1,305 6. Penn State 6-0 1,203 7. Texas Tech 5-0 1,101 8. Brigham Young 5-0 1,086 9. USC 3-1 1,055 10. Georgia 4-1 937 11. Ohio State 5-1 893 12. Florida 4-1 883 13. Utah 6-0 793 14. Vanderbilt 5-0 704 15. Kansas 4-1 667 16. Boise State 4-0 624 17. Oklahoma State 5-0 523 18. Virginia Tech 5-1 393 19. Michigan State 5-1 273 20. South Florida 5-1 267 21. Wake Forest 3-1 247 22. Northwestern 5-0 231 23. Auburn 4-2 121 24. Wisconsin 3-2 105 25. California 4-1 98
  23. Nothing really, just a bunch rumors.
  24. Lets get the sale of this damn team over with and sign Tex.
