Sad news, Former Bear Johnny Bailey passed away from pancreatic cancer this morning at age 43. I was at the game when he was at Texas A&I and broke the career NCAA all purpose yardage record from Tony Dorsett I believe.

I definitely like the other options, but Rendon is the only one I think has franchise changing possibilities. Given his injury history, I worry about his future. I just have visions of the Cubs selecting him, he becomes the #1 prospect in baseball over a year and a half-long stint in the minors, he has a three month stretch with the Cubs after his callup where his OPS is over 1.000...and then he shatters a femur when an errant piano falls on him. I feel like that has already happened before

MLBTR has Harper signed, probably around $6.5m; not official yet. Zach Lee reportedly gets $5.25m over 5 years. Someone stated that LSU issued a press release making it sound like Lee was a goner...trying to track it down. Washington Post also saying it's a done deal.

If Harper didn't sign the Cubs will need to call up Shark back up to the starting rotation to help out our draft stock. The top 2 picks next year will be sick.

There is an opening if at least one other person indicates an interest to keep the league at an even number of teams. That's a requirement of Yahoo for head-to-head leagues. If you need another I am interested.

Athletes are so dumb sometimes. There's absolutely no need to slide to try to block the ball when the opposing player is only a few yards from the corner flag in his own defensive end. Should have been a yellow but its still a really dumb play. If they gave cards for stupidity, Cole would certainly have gotten one for that slide. Looking at the replay it looked like it could have been much worse of an injury too

Probably the best strategy for them considering how much trouble they have signing FA's, still thats a lot of money for just 3 players Harper included in 1 draft.

Annnnd Koscielny was shown red in 2nd half stoppage. Not sure that deserved a 2nd yellow didn't seem real intentional. Typical Arsenal from the last two seasons, find a way to tie it in extra time despite domination in possession and shots. I still want a new keeper.

Yep. It's kind of frustrating that the migraines may be an issue his entire career. Plus you've got Sidney's hip issue which some writers are speculating is just a semi-holdout for a new contract. Not sure I buy it but I wish our best QB and best two WR's were at least spending some time in camp. If I am not mistaken Terrell Davis had the same problem, and even wore braces to help try to curb them.

Koscielny carried off on a stretcher and Cole red carded. Arsenal can't afford to lose defenders this season. Seemed a little harsh a first but he might have a fractured leg and after Ramsey's injury last season it was almost scary watching the replay of it.
