Exactly. I'd rather "miss" on these 1st round QBs if I were these teams. Get a better prospect at a different position and you would be paying them closer to their actual value. I realize nothing can happen yet, but I would take Vince Young over any of the guys not names Gabbert and Newton. And I would maybe take him over them as well.

No one has any idea what's going on with the QB's. Clayton is hearing Gabbert could fall to 12 and the Vikings, Gosselin has 5 QB's going in the top 12. Locker is anywhere from 8 to late 1st. Dalton, Ponder and Mallett are all over the map from 10-40. I'm just picturing last year where McCoy went in the 3rd round then Dalton going 12th and trying to justify paying that slot for him.

Were there any numbers thrown around last offseason for a transfer fee? Cesc was absolutely useless this year, though, so whatever it was, cut it in half, and that's even assuming Barca will want him. I think last year was over 30 million. This year who knows.

Sell Cesc, buy defenders and keeper. And maybe a D-mid. It's not hard, Arsene. I think I would look into Subotic now as a longterm anchor since Wenger loves to buy young. At keeper there are about 50 options that are better than what you have not, draw a name out of a hat for all I care. You signed Jens [expletive] Lehman midseason, if you can't figure out there is a problem its going to be scary going forward.

Lets see if Wenger has the balls to partially blow up this team. At this point I would sell Csec assuming he can still fetch close to what he was worth last offseason.
