Well that sucked. Nothing worse than making the comeback, taking the lead and losing in a way like that. I've never been the biggest Balbay fan either, oh well he is gone and they have one of the top PG coming in next year with Thompson and Joseph coming back as well and maybe Hamilton unless he really wants to go the way of Avery Bradley or a probable lockout. If Hamilton comes back they are top 5 preseason pretty easily.
Good news on Holden as nothing is broken. Bad news is he has been dropped from the next two friendlies due to needing 26 stitches in his knee. That had to hurt like hell.
I've always liked the idea that Gus should just be in the studio at the ready when a game is close in the last 5 minutes. I like it too. I'm sure all of the other commentators wouldn't but who cares if they suck the life out of the game.
I had my girlfriend fill out a bracket for fun who knows nothing about Basketball and before the George Mason game she was ranked on ESPN at 99.9% and dropped to 99% with that loss. Needless to say I am losing.
ok. the word "beautiful" set you off? fair enough. a student that was also up on a lift said it was a "regular day" - a regular day? another student said "it was an ordinary day." bunch of jerks. http://www.southbendtribune.com/sbt-interviews-revealed-in-iosha-report-on-declan-sullivan-death-20110316,0,7205659.story apparently most of the world and the people involved with the nd football program have separate definitions of ordinary days. Its fun to watch reactions like this.
Looks like 13 people filled out the brackets. We have 5 people picked Ohio St, 4 picked Kansas, 2 San Diego St, 1 Duke, 1 BYU. Good luck to Juan, last years Champion. Interestingly enough since 2003 no one has won this more than once.
I remember hearing that teams were thinking about practicing inside that day because of the forecast for high winds. Beautiful day my ass. What an [expletive]. Tressell and Ferentz both moved practice inside that day because of the wind. He didn't really say that though, did he? Wasn't the kid that died putting up facebook updates or tweets well before practice saying that he was scared of going up there? Yep. He tweeted something joking about dying because it was so windy. Wow the past two weeks coaches would do a much better job shutting up rather than opening their mouths.
Giants had Lincecum and maybe Cain and they won it last year. Nobody really on the cusp. Who did the Padres have last year? Heath Bell, and nobody on the cusp. I don't think it's a requirement to have multiple guys in the top 100. Buster Posey could definitely be on the cusp for the Giants. And the Padres had a pretty good 1st baseman Brian Wilson is overflowing with too much awesome not to be listed in the top 100.
