-Where was Lee April and September of 2004? -Manny Ramirez and Alex Rodriguez are both slow, too. Would you pass on them? -Aramis had the best defensive season of any NL 3B this season. -God forbid someone jog out a fly ball. It negates all their skill and talent. It matters when Ramirez jogs out a fly ball, and then the outfielder miss plays the ball, but still manages to throw out Ramirez at 2b. A-Rod is not a slow runner. A-Rod will also give you 22SB a year. I dont think you can compare 2 future hall of famers to Aramis. Yes, Aramis is a good player, but he is not a guy who deserves 117 million a year in my opinion.

I wouldn't pay Ramirez Beltran type money. Ramirez is a below average fielding 3B, he is limited on the base paths, he has the reputation of not running out fly balls, and when D-Lee went down with the wrist injury Ramirez was not productive. I don't blame Hendry for not wanting to give Ramirez a Beltran type contract.

Bonderman is starting to become a legit SP in the big leagues. I don't see why the Reds would turn that offer down. -
I dont see how Lou will be happy if Ramirez walks. I think Hendry will get this thing done.

Then you would be creating another hole on the team. Not if they're determined to pick up at least 2 other starting pitchers. It all hinges on what else Hendry can get done. And Sanchez seems pretty good. That deal doesnt make sense. You dont trade a staff ace. Their determined to pick up at least 2 other starting pitchers? Who are these guys that are better than Zambrano? -

That's crazy! I understand Cashman is trying to get the best possible deal for Sheffield, but to turn down both The Phillies deal that included Gavin Floyd and a Padres deal that included Scott Linebrink, is beyond insane. Everybody knows that Yankees are trying to trade Sheffield, and everybody knows Sheffield no longer wants to be a Yanks. So to turn down either deal, is beyond idiotic, and I hope they can't trade Sheffield, cause you know Sheffield will tear ANY chemistry that team might have to pieces. What is so crazy about turning down a Gavin Floyd deal? Have you seen his numbers the last two years? He is not the prospect he once was. I know the Yankees turned down this deal with Linebrink, but today Peter Gammons was on Mike and Mike and said that he believes Sheff will end up with the Cubs. The deal would be centered around Wuertz. NO!
