I dont think so. He has very good mechanics, and a very smooth, free and easy release. He is a very low risk to have an injury.

I dont have a problem with parker at all, its just that the team has bigger needs than an arm at this pick. I like the idea of picking the best player avaiable with the 3rd. pick, rather than a need though.

yea. dude its a 50 round draft. the tallent has to be deep. -
Parker would not be a bad choice here. Vitters would not be a bad choice. Wieters would be the best choice but thats not gonna happen. If Vitters goes #2 the the cubs will almost certainly draft Parker or Dolittle (which would suck)

Watching Cold Pizza this morning they said Vitters reminded the scouts of David Wright. I would take that I guess.

The Cubs are so high on Vitters that if he is there the pick will almost 100% be him. If he is not there then we can start to worry about what they may do. (Doolittle).

It will be Fonte, with Pegan being optioned. I just heard that Aramas is expected to miss the Atlanta series. Expect an announcement sometime early tomorow.

his numbers sucked this year I just say that 7.53 era 1-4 record, only 3 saves. yea not too good.

I have seen no one talk about this. He has been the closer the past 2 years for GT. He throws 98! I remember Brooks Kiechnick (sp??) a few years back doing this and think Wieters would be a very good reliever/catcher. I think it would be something the teams would have to consider.

Then this is quite an achievement to me. He made it to the Big leagues in under 3 years sense being drafted. I wounder what the fastest time to be called-up is for a high school player???? 3 years is very impressive. correct me if i'm wrong but wasn't andruw jones 19 when he was called up I do believe so.

its almost got to be- miller/blanco to the 60 day,/ Ohman sent down, jones traded. that is the only thing that makes sense if eyre is reportably safe.

If anything's been officially announced yet I'm sure they'll mention it anyway. never know, it wouldnt hurt. sometimes the broadcasters hear stuff from the coaching staff while doing a pre-game interview or something.

Low 90s FB, good curve, change and he has a slider though I believe Sean has scrapped that for now. The game I watched in Daytona last season he was hitting 96 consistantly, with a nasty slider, and a plus change. He has very good mechanics as well, but low 90's on the fastball does not seem quite right.........

He projects better as a closer than a starter. i have always thought this move would come in his minor league career, I just didnt think it would be this early.
