  1. what does this do fo possible getting floyd? Would we really sign both of floyd and ward? the way I see it the roster is pretty packed now Zambrano Hill Meche??? Lilly Miller/Marshall Cotts Dempster Eyre Howry Wood Wuertz Barret Blanco Cedeno DeRosa Izturis * Lee Ramerez Theriot Jones* Murton Pegan Soriano Ward???/ Floyd????
  2. my bad someone move it.
  3. this is based on how much the cubs have to spend, and what I have heard so far...... obviously the cubs cant get both Manny and Sorriano, or I would have put that as an option. I know we have other needs in the pitching department, but that may be another poll later......
  4. any idea if we will be able to view the results/box scores for these games?
  5. Pawelek's regular season is likely done after this start. I must say, after a few though starts he has really turned it around with his K/walk ratio! keep it up kid, see you game 1 in the playoffs!
  6. With today's game, he's at 102 for his career between Mesa and Boise. Here are his stats for this season(not including today's game). If you scroll to the bottom, you can see his stats from last season at Mesa and Boise. I am looking for his totals from last year, plus up to this year so far.
  7. I just noticed that pawelek has thrown 97 innings pitched for his professional career now. any one know his stats for his professional career thus far? they have to be pretty good.
  8. any on else think mark could be promoted sooner rather than later? His last 5 starts have been very impressive, and with a performance like tonight's I think he could help peoria out this year. His command seems to be there now which was a big question his first few outtings. From what I hear his stuff is nasty as well, so who knows maby I am jumping the gun, but it would be nice to see happen.
  9. HAPPY PAWELEK DAY! ( I dont even need to see who is pitching)
  10. Lincecum last start, Miller this time...Pawelek has faced some pretty good pitchers so far this year. And he is not disapointing by any means. I have been very impressed with him his last 4 starts.
  11. 94-96? That's great. It's been a while since there's been a velocity report. 94-96 is what the boise announcer said, and it looked pretty dang nasty comming out of pawelek's arm slot.
  12. pawelek is done after 5 innings of solid work. his line- 5ip, 2h, 4k's, 1 walk. I watched the game over the internet, and I must say he looked very good. The announcer said he was 94-96 the whole game as well. He mixed in a nice shart curve ball, and a change every now and then. He also threw what looked to be a cutter. I love his delevory with his arm action on just whipping at the hitters. His era is now in the 2.5's I believe, so it is very nice to see he is settleing in.
  13. hummm....... maby I can see the future?????
  14. where are you getting this info? are you listening to the game or watchings it? where at?
  15. can I get a happy pawelek day anyone? he is comming off of his best professional start. I am going to say he will get his first professional win today!
  16. man, felix is on fire lately! 3/5 tonight so far, and his average up to .272! I think he will be up in the bigs come september. I still think he needs about half a season in AAA before he can start in the bigs though, as he is only 21. I hope the cubs do not rush him up to start in center next year, that would be a mistake.
  17. man, felix is on fire lately! 8 game hitting streak I believe. maby he is worth something yet....... I think if he finishes around .275 he will see some time in the bigs come september.
  18. wow, no one has said it yet so I guess I will.......... THE SEAN!
  19. Go Alberto! (it kinda rhymes)
  20. what does his windup look like?
  21. hey Ron, Can you give us a good scouting report on sean Gallagher. I hhave heard mixed things about his velocity and what not. Does he throw comfortably in the mid 90's? Is it true he hit 101 earlier in the year? Also, How are his mechanics and what is his windup like? I know not many people at NSBB have seen him pitch, so if you could provide video of some sort that would help out as well. thanks!
  22. can someone give me a good scouting report on this guy? What does he top out at? Does he throw comfortably in the mid 90's through out a game? What kind of break is his slider? How does his windup go? I think the kid is the real deal myself. Just want some info on him. video would help me out as well. thanks!
  23. I noticed that in thte last few box scores Grant Johnson has come in in as a reliver. I personally think this is a very good place for him, and he seems to be doing well in this roll. Do you guys think he can stay there through out his minor league career, and make it to the bigs as a middle reliver?
  24. pawelek now in for Boise, wearing #17??? Boise's site has him as #15 though???
