  1. I don't think Wallace is the greatest prospect in the world, but I think you guys are really underrating him. First round draft pick last year, labeled as the best pure hitter in the draft and already in AAA and doing well in a years time. They could probably get guys with higher upsides that haven't put anything together yet, but Wallace is about as close to a sure thing as you can get.
  2. He's been in professional baseball less than one year. He has a .395 career OBP, 19 career HR and has shown the ability to adjust. He is a projectable bat with success at ever level he's ever played.
  3. Drop Bruce Add Ortiz Yeah, I'm getting back on that bandwagon early
  4. And his splits have always been bad. It's something he's going to have to get better at if he is ever going to be a star level player. OPS of .826 vs LHP in his minor league career. Not great by any means, but good enough to suggest that he'll figure it out.
  5. Just poking fun at all of the Milton Bradley sucks, he's an average hitter without Arlington posts.
  6. OK but he has zero at bats at The Ballpark in Arlington this year, so Im not really sure what this has to do with anything. whoosh
  7. The Ballpark in Arlington is a launching pad.
  8. man up and wear it or give it to a homeless guy
  9. He was hurt for most of last year too. This year, he has had really poor command and everything has been up in the zone compared to last year. I guess I'm saying that an injured Rich Harden is still a hell of a pitcher and I think he'll be fine. Shame we never get to see him completely healthy though, because he's the best pitcher in MLB IMO.
  10. Heard neck spasms during the broadcast, but no news since.
  11. Per Rotoworld.
  12. His velocity on all of his pitches seems to be right in line with last year, although down considerably from 07. I don't know if hitters are taking more against him knowing he's a 100 max pitcher or what. The strikeouts are down a tick, and walks are up a tick and the BABIP is considerably higher. I think it's just bad luck. A few more flyballs leaving the ballpark, 3x his rate from last year, definitely isn't helping. I would bet on his numbers stabilizing though.
  13. Now there will be twice as many people to boo him, which is always nice.
  14. thank you I feel like he gives me a bad name. Get off your knees for god's sake man. Stop looking for approval. edit: And you had the audacity to question the same thing about Maybin/Rasmus? Give me a break. For some reason I don't think "homer" would be a word they would use around here to describe me.
  15. yes he was watching it live I thought it was opposite. Safe at 2nd out at first, but should be game over.
  16. Never noticed it. I've been here about as long as you. As long as you're not an idiot, you're fine. Myself, wolf, CardsFaninChiTown and others.
  17. I thought we didn't allow Cardinal fans here? I am different because I am not a full blown cards fan homer. I'm a Cards fan as well. Read RedVerbs posts, don't be that guy.
  18. That did not look good. I got see a lot of those with Rolen. Hope he's OK.
  19. At the very least a reason to tune in every day. It's awesome. But you naturally start setting ridiculously high standards. Like you really expect him to homer just about every at bat. Not thinking he might, but you start to expect it.
