  1. Sorry you don't like defensive metrics. and i'm sorry that you think they actually mean something Seriously? You really think that they mean nothing? I'll agree that they're not perfect by any means, but to say they're meaningless seems awfully ignorant.
  2. thank you I feel like he gives me a bad name.
  3. Out of curiosity, why do you think Maybin has the higher ceiling?
  4. Is Meph banned again? This has just been me messing with him about the Pie > Rasmus thing that goes back like 2 years.
  5. Sorry you don't like defensive metrics.
  6. .288 .330 .504 .834 OPS+119 11 HR 34 RBI 12.1 UZR 26.9 UZR/150
  7. I think so. I don't know if his was partial or full blown.
  8. I think they just pointed out that his average fastball was down to like 88 and he topped out at 92.
  9. You'd think it'd be better that it's the Right toe rather than the left toe (his push off foot). Where the hell did this come from anyways? Wouldn't his right foot be his push off foot? Maybe I'm using "push off foot" incorrectly as I'm referring to his lead foot but I guess there is strain put upon the foot that toes the rubber as well. His right foot is his push foot. Probably doesn't matter on the push itself, but you drag that toe on the push.
  10. Bite your tongue. You can't lump the Tampa Bay Rays 2008 team MVP in with just anyone.
  11. damn, you beat me. though i almost don't even want it to mess with pujols. the cardinals don't worry me in the near term and with a season or two like he's on pace for, he'll soon price himself right out of St. Louis... and into Chicago! yes, im calling it. That would really piss you off to have to watch him play for the Cardinals and then the White Sox.
  12. Pujols is gonna put on a show. That's about the best NL HR Derby roster I've seen.
  13. NL Home Run Derby roster Pujols Fielder Gonzalez Howard
  14. 2nd transaction drop Davis and add Bruce
  15. Don't know what the test results were, but he's not DL'd and is wearing a brace.
  16. DeRosa left tonight's game after injuring his wrist during a swing. Tests tomorrow.
  17. Pujols numbers through June 30th .332 .453 .743 1.197 30HR 77RBI Unreal season. Sosa 2001 through June 30th .306 .422 .665 1.087 26HR 75RBI Sosa 1998 through June 30th .327 .386 .676 1.062 33HR 79RBI Bonds 2001 through June 30th .305 .483 .863 1.345 39HR 71RBI

  19. :-k They're the best starting rotation in NL right now.
  20. some guy in their minor league system. that wouldn't make any sense. it's either a true PTBNL, or it's a guy who just hasn't been identified by the media yet. if it's a PTBNL, then it will be the indians' choice of a few guys down the road, or a guy who was drafted last season and hasn't been in the cards' system for a year. if the indians already know who the guy is that they want and the cardinals agreed to trade him, he'd just be announced as part of the deal right now. Jones is a fairly highly rated prospect. 22 year old "toolsy" outfielder that put up an .882 OPS with 18 steals in high A and a .909 OPS so far this year in AA. It's either a guy on the DL or someone that was drafted last year. I guess it could be one of those "future consideration" type things where they want to let the season play out a bit before deciding from a list of a few guys.
  21. But he doesn't bat left-handed. And he's terrible. I'd rather play with a 24 man roster than with So Taguchi. World series winner. 2x. Intangibles, fundamentals, feel for the game, other cliches...
  22. Cardinals are ramping up efforts to acquire Holliday.
  23. the guy is 26 years old. chances are he didn't just discover pot during the offseason. True, but he can afford it now.
