  1. the truth is hes older and abusing performance enhancing substances most likely, so its not really suprising
  2. God, now the announcers are drooling over Rick Ankiel and the cards during the mizzou/illini game.
  3. Rashard looked kind of like Adrian Peterson there
  4. i wouldnt trust him playing big college football games yet even, since all hes ever done is dominate younger kids from small schools in cali
  5. im sure the cards will find some guy to hit .400 for the rest of the year in his place
  6. the state of missouri is so worthless in everyway.
  7. insecure SEC fans are so annoying. I guess thats all there is in the south though
  8. Runs scored/Game Cubs 4.60 NL Ave 4.64 average? yes sub-par? maybe pathetic? unjustifiable. Wrong. Keener's not referring to season totals. It's recently that matters, because that's when we stopped winning. In August the Cubs have scored 112 runs, that's 15th in the N.L. The offense is pathetic, period. And Zambrano has been just as pathetic.
  9. is there a way to find out who gets in scoring position more often in the leadoff, Soriano or Theriot? I'd guess its Soriano.
  10. Will Derrek Lee hit 20 HRs this year? What a powerful 1B
  11. its 2-0 in the 5th. take the bipolar medicine and calm down
  12. If TLR was our manager, he would say Lilly made one bad pitch in the first inning.
  13. That's just ignorant. 2003: 214.0 IP 136 ERA+ 2004: 209.7 IP 165 ERA+ 2005: 223.3 IP 131 ERA+ 2006: 214.0 IP 136 ERA+ 2007: 168.0 IP 116 ERA+ He's consistently pitched 200+ innings per year, put up an era+ in the 130's (with the exception of a down year this year, which is balanced out by his spectacular 04) i was talking about game to game, which should have been obvious by the context of this thread
  14. He just doesn't have the mental capability to be consistent in the MLB.
  15. Releasing Cedeno wouldnt be a bad idea.....
  16. Well the pitching is just not good enough or the cubs. it would of helped if our "ace" had been able to put up at least a quality start in game 1 of this series though
  17. seriously. its bad enough half the people here wish every HS player drafted by the cubs to fail.
  18. if you cant beat the reds at home you dont deserve to make the playoffs
  19. i dont think they have tests that can detect HGH, so no
  20. its kinda funny that a guy with Fontenot in his name is ripping on Pie and Marshall.
  21. and to think the only out so far could have easily been a triple.
  22. looks like the cubs realized this just as you did!
  23. anyone see that? Due up: Name Name Name
  24. hopefully that .318 OBP will turn out to be even worse in the big leagues, and Ankiel turns into a GlenAllen Hill type
  25. i honestly expected Lee to have a bit of a down year considering how much his daughters illness seemed to effect him. im sure its more important to him than baseball right now, and it has shown to some extent
