    I love Murton, but a baserunning guru he is not. No hes not but if its a young kid who does the crap Ward has done twice the last week, they would be benched or sent down. You cant affort that ignorance while in Sept, and your offense is struggling. if the young kids played the field like murton they would be benched or sent down. its pick your poison.

    I wouldn't call walking a ton of batters antics. I'd call it bad control. I'm more concerned with that. I think it's more being a complete headcase which leads to many of the walks. The guy just can't control his emotions. This a phase, and I believe it will pass. That being said, I was against the 91 million dollar contract from the get go. He is not worth that. He may be considered our "Ace," but he certainly is not. I think he has the worst ERA of all our starters now. Personally, I don't think we will ever see "Z" put together a great season from beginning to end. You may never see him win 19 or 20 games in his career. im fairly certain on the FA market he would get more than he got with the cubs, so id say hes worth it

    its amazing the lengths some people will go through to defend Murton. I am a fan of his but some people need to ease off his crotch a little.

    Laugh all you want but at least I have some sort of statistical proof to back up my opinion instead of just looking at ERA and saying see here is my proof. I cannot believe in this day and age there are still people who judge pitching this way. Thats not to say the Brewers have an amazing starting rotation. Sheets is an Ace, Gallardo is eventually a #1 or #2 most likely but Bush, Suppan, Capuano and Vargas are all #4/#5 starters. But the majority of the problems with the team's pitching this year compared to their 3 year averages is just how terrible the fielding is. So ERA isn't a statistic? What is so horrible about ERA, but so great about choosing a statistic which just ignores hits given up, and assumes that hits is a stat that the defense is entirely responsible for(which is a pretty simplistic view)?

    i think its half joking, but both definitely are large bodied hitters, and if its okay to accuse Sosa with no evidence why not return the favor

    Good to know the Brewers fielding is the only reason their pitching is horrible. Man, sometimes the internet produces such insane ideas you just have to laugh.

    Like I said, youthful mistakes. Illinois is clearly the more talented team. How in the world do you figure that? I'll give credit where credit is due, because you guys played a good game. But is shouldn't have been that close. And someone tell that backup QB to stop crying. How embarrassing! prolly cus even without their starting QB and with 5 turnovers illinois still was in the game and was about even yardage wise
