  1. if thats the case, why not just have murton in right, and soriano in left? i wouldnt mind having the two as corner OFs with Pie in CF...not the best hitting OF ever, but murton and Pie are cheap and fairly good options
  2. murton the equal of soriano? yah, and im sleeping with jessica alba
  3. id like this OF everyday, except Floyd/Jacque switch in and out depending on the matchup (unless one of them discovers how to hit for power again).
  4. lol felix is awesome
  5. what is the cubs BA with RISP over this series? .000?
  6. Great effort by Derosa. Almost as good as Lee
  7. Floyd is basically Juan Pierre, but he's not fast and he takes a couple more walks. He's got an EqA of .268 and he's supposed to be our 5th batter. isn't an eqa of .260 average or something?
  8. some people on here just need to stop being so biased. Floyd isn't a great player, but her certainly doesn't suck. Kinda funny how some of the same people who rag for a better team OBP want Floyd who has an OBP of about .370 to never play.
  9. why floyd? Because he's not good. and neither is murton....
  10. Now that Murton is in, the cubs will prolly score about 10 runs. The guy is just an amazing player.
  11. hes no matt murton thats for sure
  12. all he has to do to get support here is dress up as cedeno or murton or pie and play horribly
  13. too much power in the lineup tonight!
  14. Why? I think people, including myself are pointing out that we are no longer hot and playing above .500 baseball. during a completely arbitrary period selected solely to support your own opinion. give it a rest. Give what a rest? Defending my point? It's not like I'm selecting random dates. I'm selecting the last 13 games that the Cubs have played, a stretch that constitutes 8% of the season in order to say that the Cubs have not been hot over the past 13 games. But you're right, the next time I have an opinion, it will be better for me to select stats that completely refute my opinion. Thanks for the advice. What is their record in the last 14 games? What is their record in the last 15 games? What is their record in the last 16 games? 7-7 8-7 9-7 Although I don't see how those questions are relevant to my previous statistic. The Cubs were on the tail end of a hot streak, and since the first game against the DBacks, they have not played consistently good baseball. They were hot, and now they are playing mediocre. It's a very simple point that I am trying to make. At least Truffle understands... they are 4-3 in their last 7.

  17. I love all the posts saying the cubs are 6-7 in their last 13 games. That is such an ESPNish stat. Let me guess, they are 7-7 in their last 14? Maybe 8-7 in their last 15?
  18. he also plays the outfield like a blind man with a bum flipper, but yeah... so you're saying hes still about twice the outfielder murton is?
  19. jacque has been hitting fairly well lately, lay off him
  20. never cus teh c ubs don't take enuff walks and jim hendy wont get some offense b4 teh trade deadline!!!!1111one
  21. Pretty sure Sut was talking about Dempster's blocking of Iguchi from the plate... Sometimes Rick doesn't, uh, say the right words. :) Yep, a great trait for a color analyst :D ESPN will hire you as long as you are an ex-athlete
