I say, let the steroids guys into the HOF but make them feel pretty miserable about it. Don't let them talk at their induction, put an asterisk on their cap instead of team logo, and make them pay an annual membership fee for their spot. That'll show em.

Actually Sammy, yes, your numbers do lie. You had more juice in you than a watermelon patch and on top of that got caught with cork. Amazes me to no end how stubborn these guys are. Take a page from Pettite's book, be honest and most will understand, forgive, and move on. I have no sympathy for those who lie in the face of obviousness. -
You know, if a player makes a lot of money while having a bad season, he is an unhappy clubhouse cancer. Its one of the unwritten rules of baseball, look it up.

Perhaps. You never know though, Atlanta could get all kinds of crazy hot and make a run through playoffs up and into the World Series, and upset the Yankees. All while Chipper plays a valuable role in guiding the young Braves to playoff success, doing what he has to do to keep winning for Bobby. This convinces Chipper he wants to manage, and he goes on to have a Hall of Fame career doing it. In that scenario, you could say it wasn't so crappy. :-s

Oh man, if Colvin turns out to be a useful player I'm going to feel so stupid since I really, really want him to suck. I never said you said you wanted him to suck. But you did say it would be a "loooooooooooooooooooooong shot" for him to ever hit 20+ hr over a full year. Which is funny to me since he will do it in his rookie year in somewhat limited ABs. Hey, if I'm wrong I'm wrong. I can respect that, sorry to hash on it so much. Just think it's cool he's having a better rookie year than "future top 50 of all time" Jason Heyward. Just can't wait till someone moves him out of leadoff..

I have a hard time believing that Roy Williams and Jim Boeheim are going behind the scenes to some reporter from the sun-times as sources. But someone from their programs, that I could get behind.
