i was actually talking about scottie pippen oscar robertson is actually the third greatest oscar robertson of all time Ahh but Pippen was only good because Jordan taught him the new way. so he gets partial credit. Exactly. Oscar, of course, gets points taken away because of the too many white guys level of competition. Too bad this doesn't apply to Babe Ruth, THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME!

Apparently at Ohio State you can enter your senior year without declaring a major, because thats what Pryor was planning on doing.

It probably wasn't ever brought up before, but I think Arizona would be a good trade partner for Kerry Wood. Think we could get a good prospect for him? That is, if he waives his NTC.

Really interesting dude. This is a cool read: http://www.bu.edu/today/node/12295 cliff notes: Chambers was a successful salesman at 31 years old in Philly. Ran into an old high school classmate, her friend and her friend's drunk/drugged out husband. Husband thinks PC is hitting on his wife, he stabs him in the neck with a broken bottle and beats him on the ground. PC survives - barely - has a new outlook on life, leaves his job to coach high school basketball and quickly moves up the ladder. He is a good start for PSU: a young, energetic salesman from Philly. I'm excited to see what he can do.

I understand it's you opinion, but I'm sorry, the bold part is a terrible reason to not dramatically improve your team, especially not for the sake of holding on to the prospects who like will have nothing close to the impact a player like Garza does. Avoiding being bad for prolonged periods of time hinges on having more players like Garza. I just am all for doing this for good hitters, we have sucked at developing them. Had we done that deal for David Wright, cool. But we have developed a lot of nice pitchers of later. I hate trading away prospects for them. Who is the front of the rotation starter we've developed? Z? Archer's ceiling is probably Garza, but with his control problems it's no guarantee he'll even approach that. Trading Hak-Ju Lee irked me a bit, but he was an A ball player. The rest of the players were filler. Dempster is getting older and Z may not be around much longer. I think the Garza trade was a pretty astute move, actually. Z, Prior, Wood Yeah, quite a job we did developing Prior those 2 weeks he was in the minors.

Athletic departments aren't making money hand over fist. If you want the complete fairness of the football players getting compensated, that's fine. But acknowledge that it would come at the expense of the Olympic sports in those schools, and more than a few basketball programs as well. Oh I know that. I was just pointing out that EhDubya basically saying that he was the same as these football players was ridiculous. Wait, what? The only parallel I drew was that we were both broke college students. I then pointed out the many differences, i.e., student loans for me after college, NFL and job opportunities for them. What I did write was that college athletes are compensated extremely well for the money that they make the school already. How in the world did you miss that?
