    And Eager just told one of the Flames to "go back to the gym." I don't care for McGuire, but I like having him down there for that reason.

    Interesting comments by Pierre McGuire there. For those not watching Vs., he pointed out all the jawing going on between the Hawks and Iginla, and that the Hawks were saying some inappropriate things.

    For some reason, CSN continues to be blacked out on Directv. Odd. It's says specifically "Blackhawks vs. Flames is blacked out on this channel," so it's not due to the Bulls game.

    8:30 start, game should get over about 11:00. Not too bad. I feel old. Can hardly stay up that late anymore. I know, I saw that basketball time on the schedule last night and it just seemed like complete madness to me. 10 years ago I would have been like, "cool late night sports!!" Kane out? It was a tough hit, but not the kind that should keep a star out of a playoff game. I know, it's easy for me to say. But 88 needs to toughen up a bit.

    Hawks' website says Kane is a "gametime decision" for tonight but there are no details. It's one of the top stories, but the link just leads to the general game preview article. A big part of me thinks they won't miss him.

    I'm not. I'd be happy for two more at the UC right now... I love watching the Canadian teams and I generally root for them to do well in the playoffs. Watching those playoff games in Edmonton a few years ago was incredible. But yes, I'd prefer a few more home games right now. Sitting here thinking about the game tonight, I'm suddenly nervous/paranoid. If they lose tonight, it's only one game from being 2-2. OMFGLLDFSAOFLFA! This is the first game I at least get to watch at home by myself. The first two I was with hockey novice friends and their wives. I was clearly more interested than anyone else. I couldn't really go through my screaming/yelling/cursing/rejoicing routine. Tonight, it's wake-up-the-neighbours time.

    Well, Blues had a good run. Pretty effing stupid there by Backes to take a penalty.

    Carlo Cola... I don't know how to spell his last name, but he has been TERRIBLE tonight on the PP. Several muffed passes at the line. In a town where Chris Pronger didn't let any clearing attempt pass him by, that stuff doesn't fly.

    If you can't score on two 5-on-3's, you don't deserve to win. And Vancouver deserves a lot of credit for some great kills.

    Giving a PP to Vancouver there was inexcusable. 'Nucks got a home bounce off the boards on that one. Tough break.

    He got 2 minutes... looks like that's the only penalty from that scrum. If that wasn't evened out, that's ridiculous. Nearly all of these scrums need to end up evened out. I understand the refs are trying to actually punish the guys (and their teams) for this [expletive], but it's not fair to single out one guy and penalize one team when they are all involved. This officiating is embarassing.
