I would guess there's some sort of nominal transfer fee being paid. Right. The amount of the Hawks would have to actually pay him has never been the issue. Clearing him off the salary cap numbers has always been the key.

No You'd be surprised. I know there was always at least a small anti-Dusty group on this board, but most of the meh-Dusty or pro-Dusty people (and this board was littered with them..myself included in the meh-Dusty category) had that sentiment. Then again a lot of us were not as jaded as we are now. Sure, there were people blind to the truth. But I know I was not the only one who was against him from the start. I wasn't hanging around NSBB back then, but I was never a Dusty fan and thought the team did well in '03 in spite of him. -
I'm going to be deciding often between Braylon Edwards and Knox. Suggestions? I have Knox in there now for Week 1 because NYJ is playing Baltimore.

They have a pretty good future. They've got Strasburg, assuming he stops Prioring up the place, Harper, and some pretty decent people in the front office. They could be respectable in a few years. Without Strasburg's injury, I'd trade rosters/farm systems with them.

Evidence that Sammy is universally considered a jerk? Cause I like and respect him, and I think Hendry's a jerk. I don't get the Sammy love around here. Even when he was crushing, he was a self-centered, egotistical ass when he wasn't blowing kisses to the camera. Are folks just too young to remember Dawson? And I wouldn't call Hendry a jerk. Grossly incompetent, but I've never read any reports that he mistreats players or anyone else or has anything but the best interests of the team in mind. -

They think they are entitled to be atop the division forever and last year was just a blip. I can't believe watching the Hawks win the Cup wouldn't engender even a little humility.

No games on the weekend in STL? That's a bummer. Honestly, it looks like the Blues really wanted to fill in some traditionally low-selling dates with the champs. A Friday night in October (not a sure sellout, but it will be now), a Tuesday night in December and a Monday matinee in February? Weak. I know why they did it (or lobbied for it -- not sure how much power the Blues had over it), but still. To pivot slightly, this is a very important year for the Blues and their fans. The fans steadily came back over the last few years with the promise of a young, energetic group. The teaser of squeaking into the playoffs two years ago only raised expectations, and last year was a reality check. I tell you, the Chicago fans love Rocky. But the Blues fans aren't far behind in the love of Dave Checketts and John Davidson. But if things go south again this year, I think that all ends very, very quickly.

I'm sure I'll be checking TM every day as it gets closer to see if any tickets become available, like when I got the Game 5 Nashville tickets the Thursday before. But still bummed.

Wow I guess not it kicked out my first window after I opened the second one. Yeah, I don't mess with TM. I have plenty of experience with the VWR, but not with TM. I assume it's just random how they let you in? Mine keeps going between a 2 and 3 minute wait.

No. Not unless he has a great week at Whistling Straits. His play right now combined with the distraction would leave him off the team if I were captain. I agree that's probably the smart thing to do if winning is the only goal. But if exposure and TV ratings are another goal, and we all know there are, there will be a lot of pressure on Pavin to at least offer Woods one of the captain's picks.
