Perhaps it's good luck? :-k That was the implication. Can't hurt to try. Rob's hand got stuck on his crotch a while back because he was scratching the second the Cubs score a run. It's all about dedication. I'm not putting my hand on Rob's crotch. :shock:

    are you drunk? The only reason I drink on mondays is because of how nervous the Cubs make me. I'd be right with you if I wasn't on Vicodin. Can't drink on vicodin? My doc prescribed it but I didn't take it. What do you take it for?

    Yeah, but the fact that our team is really bad is going to hurt it. When our starting pitching comes back down to earth, we're going to be hurting. I thought our offense would be a lot better than this. Why we still have no OBP guys. Hendry got us the same players with a bit more talent. Now we are a bit better. I think the OF log jam is killing us. You can't just juggle guys and expect them to put up solid numbers w/o getting regular ABs. Barrett is really sucking. That's my Cotts! Woo Yeah, just put Sori in LF, Jones in CF, and Floyd in RF and make Murton and Pagan your backups and just be done with it. The OF needs some "stability". .

    where did you hear? That would be AWESOME! BTW, for chicago suburbians. Is this on WCIU or ESPN? Because it's weird. ESPN is SPONSERING it for WCIU? I just don't get it. Usually ESPN is always broadcasting it's MLB games in HD. But if it was in WCUI it wouldn't even look like HD. And I'm so used to seeing those stupid ESPN announcers in HD. I'm tired, sorry for the weirdo rant. :?

    The Cubs actually have to be GOOD, to take advantage of that.

    Don't let them get to ya. What I think would be best for the team. . Fire Hendry (or let him go, whatever) even though I've been a suppoter, we need a smarter GM. One who says. "WE NEED TO ADD SOME OBP GUYS TO ALL THESE SLUGGERS". Trade Jones and make Pie your staple in CF next year. Trade or aquire a decent slugging LH bat who is good against LHer and RHer but more so against LHer. Get him in RF, SS, 2B, or C. (IE, somewhere where there is not already somone really good). That way you have 2 LH in your lineup. RF would be the easiest since RF is where it's easy to get a "good bat". Make Theroit your everyday 2B, and get a good all around SS. OBP is the more important stat in this aquisition. Much as I love the guy, trade barret and get a really good defensive C but one that is atleast decent offensively. Trade Zambrano for a good prospect. Use this money to "correct" this offense. By adding some high OBP guys. With Hill and Lilly being pretty good. With one of our young prospects hopefully coming up. We could try to go out and get an exciting young ML ready P or OF player with all of the young talent we have. There are alot of things that can be done to improve. And I think it starts with letting Hendry go.

    No, lets not forget it. He wasn't pitching fantastic. They had at least one base runner each inning. That isn't fantastic. Take off the Rich Hill blinders. He pitched like poop today. Please tell me you were actually watching the game, and not following on gameday. He has thrown ONE bad pitch. ONE. And I hat to be the first to point this out to you, but allowing one baserunner per inning is excellent. Yeah, that would be a 1.00 WHIP.
