    I wanna say we did that in spite of Izturis, not because of it. It was in spite of him, although Izturis does have a .400 OBP in the last week :D Did not Izzy start the rally with a 2 out single? No, that was the night the team faced Armas-they faced Snell in the game on Wednesday and won 7-1. Aight. Nevertheless. I am expecting a nice 2 out single or walk by izzy tonite, to start a rally. Go IZZY!! WOHOO!

    Which 2? Last time Snell pitched he got in a bases loaded jam halfway into the game, and we scored, 4 (I believe) off him.

    You also have to look at the couple of first decent full years he's had with clubs. I don't blame them for being negative. But I do blame them if they say there was ABSOLUTELY no chance he would be any better than a VERY BAD pitcher. And we had alot of that this off-season, after the signing. .

It was 2 years ago. They agreed that Bob would shave and Len would grow facial hair. 5 more wins to go!! Shave Bob, square beard Len.

    Bruce is nice to come here and post and all. And he's nice. But I'm sorry. Can we call off the search parties every time he doesn't post in a week? What is he, your girlfriend? Possibly your morphine fix? Are you having fits when bruce doesn't post?

    yeah, these past few seasons have been bliss. considering the low payroll the cubs are working with and the tough division they play in, i'm pretty happy with being below .500. The teams Hendry has assembled the last 4 years, have been good "ON PAPER". You cannot fault the GM entirely for teams not living up to it's potential, and "underachieving".

    As well as the farm system. He's had faults alright. But he has made some great moves. He IS responsible for building this team. He brought in Wilken, a top farm system guy. Perry, a great hitting coach. And has had success with guys like Lee, Ram, Barret. And even with some guys who the same people criticizing him here for keeping, are having some success. Lilly, Derosa, Hill, Heck, even Jones and Marquis. Remember how bad everyone said they'd be? And watch. Someone will come here and say "Well, they still haven't finished their contract, they still COULD be bad". I'm not a Hendry supporter nor hater. He's made some mistakes. I just don't like the name calling on Hendry. He deserves alot of credit.

    I take it the brewers won? :cry: Oh well it's early, we are playing well. Both teams will start playing harder teams, AND eachother. It will be interesting. Here's to the cubs just continuing to get further away from .500 and not even worrying about the "GB" at this point.

    Unluckly people. And I actually LOVE their "HD". THEIR. . . "HD". . Is like standard definition for every other channel. You do not even want to THINK, about their "regular definition". It's like warping back to the 1960's and using a coat hanger and tin foil. Be glad if you don't get them.
