    It should be Daryl Ward, Ronny Cedeno, or Cliff Floyd. I'm not saying who it will be, but those would be the best options. Jones and Murton sharing time in RF is a very good thing. Which means one of Floyd or Ward is expandable. But Ward can still be ok if you need to give Lee 5-10 days off for the total of the season. He makes a good "power" backup for Lee. I just don't know. But it better not be Murton. That's all I'm sayin. .

    NOOOOOOOOOOO! Lou GO with what's WORKING man! Since you put Theroit in the Cubs have had a 3 game winning streak!! What's up wit dat!? But Izturis is batting 1.000 during that period. Theriot's batting .214. Gotta go with the hot hand. :wink: Theroit has more RBI's than Izzy as far as % of runners driven in. IE: hot hand. :wink: :lol:

    Not only that, but the next time #5 is due, we will give Guzman a shot instead of conceding with wade miller. Ah, good times. :lol:

    3 wins in a row. Wow. I basically conceded yesterday because I didn't want to be even more dissapointed by getting my hopes up. But I'm glad they won that great game. Now a nice easy win today. Maybe we can get over .500 afterall?

    Sorry for the late reply. But on top of that in the 5th or 6th inning the play by play guy said he just can't put his finger on it but Zambrano just hasn't looked good this year. Can they BE more biased? Z hasn't gotten the results, but according to him he's lost speed on his FB and has lost movement. Give me a friggen break. :roll:

    I replayed it on my DVR too. Looked DAMN safe to me. BUT, for heaven's sake it's about time we get one of those calls. I'm not blaming all of our bad luck on it ofcourse, but I recall there have been atleast 2 games where we were royally screwed by the umpires. That game where the rookie ump Koye or whatever that had an evident vandetta against us, was one of them.

    RHIAB has some sort of weird vendetta against Theriot. He prefers a guy with a .100 avg and .125 obp as opposed to one with a .339 avg and a .362 obp Theriot isn't BAD at SS. He was obviously good enough to play it through college and halfway through the minors. People act like he's never played there before and I can't figure it out. And what is it about Theriot's minor league numbers suggests this offensive outburst is sustainable? He's not going to hit .326+ all year. But outburst? His AVG has improved for 4 straight years as he climbed the minor leagues.

    Are you serious??? Dude, didn't I show you earlier that Cedeno was a much worse SS in the minors than Theriot was? I've seen Cedeno make that play a few times this year-that kind of ball is when he usually does his little spin move. Ok yah, I agree Cedeno has more range, but Theriot's defense isn't nearly the liability people are making it out to be. Maybe not, but that's 3 plays already tonight where a SS with more range makes plays. Theriot needs to improve upon that if he intends to stick there. Theriot's the best of the options. Cesar has been a complete flop offensively and defensively. Ronny might be a suitable backup, but he hasn't shown that he's a prime time player. I'm willing to give Theriot more than a few innings to stick at SS. Yeah exactly, me too. One of those plays he just looked nervous. When he might have been able to make a DP. He's just not used to playing SS, and on the grand stage to boot. Give him atleast a few more starts to see if he gets comfortable. GO RAMMY!!

Perhaps the "smart managing" thing to do would be to play Izzy or Cedeno when Marquis and Zambrano pitches. And Theroit when the others who don't pitch as many groundballs, pitch.

    I'm sorry guys. I'm having hard time here. I try to watch the cubs to forget the bad things. But when they play like this, it's not helping. Now would you honestly stop watching the cubs if something serious hit your family? Ofcourse you would. And bringing up something childish I did in the past is just making it worse. Tim has tried to remind you to leave it in the past, and I suggest you do. ALL I said was I am DONE watching this team right now. Which had NOTHING to do with what I said in the past. So it was childish to joke about that. Get mad all you want but it WAS childish. Now I'm outta here. Try not to joke about me not coming back will ya? :lol: I'll be back. I just can't watch these cubs right now.
