  1. Yeah I dunno either, but I would like to keep him up once Soriano comes back. Nice job Murton! Line drives to the opposite field, thats what we like to see! He ain't gonna be much worse than Jones/Murton (the guys he'd take bats away from). And his CF defense would add GREATLY. don't be so sure about that I'm not sure. But I want to see a stable OF, enough of this rotating crap.
  2. clap clap clap. People actually getting on Base? :?

  4. He ran backwards diagonally to catch up to the ball. It didn't look SPECTACULAR to me at first glance. Just decent.
  5. Girardi said maybe barret was in the way of the ump. :?
  6. another nice strike. Had some good looking movement.
  7. Would be nice. He's pitching well now too. I think it's probable.
  8. The most likely candidates from this club are. . P - Rich Hill P - Carlos Zambrano C - Michael Barret 1B - Derrek Lee 3B - Aramis Ramirez OF - Alphonso Soriano My picks for those who will most likely produce like "all-stars" this year. Rich Hill, Derrek Lee, and Aramis Ramirez.
  9. He never claimed to be perceptive, folks. I see it. Please don't mock me when I'm down, I've been fatigued and lethargic due to sickness.
  10. I have no idea; I was just speculating that he may have meant Levine rather than Levin (since I'm not familiar with any sportswriter or commentator named Levin). Ok, it just sounded significant. You know what mag levine writes for? Maybe we can look it up ourselfs, while everyone else is asleep. I'm curious to find out.
  11. I missed it. What is the "levine comment"?
  12. For Murton to get his legitimate shot this year, this OF needs to be stabalized. Pie needs to play CF. And Soriano needs to move to LF or RF. I'm thinking in what's best for the Cubs. And if Soriano is a better defender in LF because of last year, then he should move to LF. And Murton should be given a shot to see if he can handle RF where Floyd gets about 20% of the share in RF with Murton. We need to stop moving people around so the guys that are still here, can get more used to playing at whatever position you finally "stick" them in.
  13. That's a "take"? It sounds more like a simple recap. A take is usually an "opinion". Just a small rant.
  14. 3-2 call on jones, he walked. Cedeno was off running, slid slightly PAST the base. Eck made a big deal about it, and because eck was able to slightly push C's foot off the bag as he was PAST the base. Big C was called out. C is doing very poorly but the more I think about it the more we've gotta get back at them by winning.
  15. I think I have heard that story before. Was not a Baker lover, but this team does not look much different than year's past. Stupid mistakes, inconsistent, but now more expensive. The team is more expensive but we've also got more talent. We didn't lose anybody important from last year. We upgraded CF and 2B, plus DLee has been healthy so far. At the very least, Lou has been throwing different lineups out trying to get something to click and he's brought in additional coaches to try and remedy our problems quickly instead of just making excuses. Our pitching is finally coming together and this team is no longer dependent on Prior or Wood. So when are the gonna start playing like they actually care? When.
  16. I just want him to make a run at the single season record. I really can't stand Barry Bonds. Oh me too. I just don't care because the Cubs have me "baseball depressed".
  17. I think theres a secret society government conspiracy to make the cubs continuously suck. And secret "agents" like Baker, Hendry, MacPhail, and others have been sent throughout the years to keep them from winning. They do it because their ancient accult "prophecy" tells them that if the Cubs ever win the WS, the world will end. We are suffering for the betterment of mankind. :)
