    I can't wait to see Lou's PC after a couple of disasterous miller starts, where he shakes his head in disgust (hopefully at his own self too) and has to explain why the hell he thought Miller could actually pitch to ML'ers.

    Well it makes the bullpen better to have guzman in the pen. maybe we'll see less blown games with only 1-2 run advantage. having 2 fireballers like marmol and guzman could really be good.

    Yeah Eyre should have been let go. Cotts had way more good games than Eyre did. Now I am seeing why you don't pay releivers as much as you did eyre and howry.

    no, clemens could play for any team in baseball.... todd walker is retiring because nobody would give him a job. Yesss. I understand that. My point was either say you are not in a hurry to come back or your are retiring. Retire = To withdraw from one's occupation, business, or office; stop working. Not, I'm retiring, BUT I might think about it if someone calls. It's my peeve on the usage of the word "retire". I was not saying Walker is as good as Clemens. Only that he sounded like Clemens.

    I love ol toddy boy, but what sense does it make to say "I'm retiring! But if someone calls I'll probably come back." Sounds Clemens like. You either say you're not in a hurry to come back and would like to come back. Or you are retiring and nobody bother to call me please! Just a pet peeve on the use of the word "retired" in major league baseball. .

    Maybe Lou gave the Gooz an ice cream sandwich to make him feel better about being demoted? Gooz said he LIKED being back in the pen. Maybe Lou really did give him an ice cream!

    That would be a solid move. I bet there is nothing solid on Glendon these days Aren't tumors solid? Come on. Stop it. Tumors are not funny. What if a clown gets a tumor? Then he's be a sad clown. And sad clowns are no fun at parties.

    Wade was clocked in the upper 70s and low 80s in his last start with Tennessee, topping out at 84. Well you would be really suprised right? :wink:

    maybe the "big suprise" is that Wade Miller has secretly been able to get his velocity up to 95MPH and that they are waiting til monday to say "Haha! GOTCHA!! Wade Miller's awesome!".

    If you really want to improve the pen. Just release Eyre and bring up Marshall. It's not that hard is it?

    when you talk, do you actually emphasize the words you put in all caps? that would be hilarious, because they're more or less chosen at random. Maybe, maybe not. Let me put it this way. You all are acting ridiculous. Posting how stupid Piniella is. Over reacting to something he said, when it's likely you are all taking it out of context. There is no way Dempster is going to the rotation. EVER. It's silly to even assume otherwise.

    unfortunately, those runners don't seem to always score . . . Must be a lack of team speed. :) We just need some SLG. MORE "clutch hitting" . . :lol:

    This is unfair. The other side of the argument has claimed that Marshall will do as well as Guzman, which is using the "crystal ball" just as much as the pro-Guzman camp. Exactly his point. It's unfair to Marshall. I don't like the move too much myself. But just because you have Guz in the pen now, doesn't mean he won't go on to be a great starter next year, or even later this year. having to fireballers like guzman and marmol in the pen I think could be a very special thing. It's the PEN that has really blown a handful of games for us this year. If we can improve that drastically, I think we'll witness less depressing late inning let downs.
