    No, I don't think it has...that is interesting.... Good call...but that would require ANOTHER man going down... :? Jones gone, Theriot demoted 12th pitcher up, Cedeno recalled?? That would make sense, right? If we can manage to move Jones, it gets a lot easier, plus we can afford to send Theriot down if we call up another player capable of handling SS. Well my idea would be seperate to the pitcher move. If they bring a P up then Jones or someone will get moved. If the "surpise" is cedeno up, then Theriot will be sent down. Now you bring up Cedeno who can play 2B and SS. Since Theroit is struggling a bit it's not a bad idea to give Cedeno a try again.

    I know I'm prob late but has anyone thought of Cedeno coming up and playing 2B because he's tearing it up in the minors? It's been mentioned already probably, right?

    I'll say this. If the Cubs sweep the brewers starting friday. I'll think they REALLY have a chance. (I'm going friday BTW). But until then I'm going to tell myself not to get too excited.

    I want something to happen too. Hendry has a history of adding impact bats. With Griffey it's possible because he's only owed money for the next year and this year. And you can absorb that pretty well by ridding yourself of a couple of guys. I know how you feel. I want something big to happen. It's like dope for cubs fans.

    True but I feel we need to make a move. Add a great bat to RF or SS. Then I'd feel very good about our chances. I just want something done. If you're not going to firesale then add that impact bat.

    Jocketty doesn't give players like Macias, Hairston, Perez, Blanco, etc. . $5 mil a year contracts. Hey, it's a step up above Hendry atleast. :lol:

    Griffey sounds like a Hendry move. But I don't think he'll give up Hill or Marshall to get him. Question is, who, and would we even beable to catch the brewers if we had Griffey?

    :lol: there will never be a fire sale, and if there were they wouldn't get good players back. Even when I'm pessimistic I'm optimistic.
