    I'm sorry if there is another thread I don't pay enough attention to this forum or our prospects. But his name came up in another thread and I was wondering how's he been doing in the minors. What's his ceiling do you think?

    Is Vitters really that good? What's his #'s from last season? It would hurt quite a bit I'd think atleast for the first year or two bc I don't see Vitters putting up ARAM #'s for atleast the first season in the bigs.

    Oakland reportedly offered the most money, and Furcal turned it down. well then just be mad at him for the unproffesional way he treats teams and the way he goes about his business.

    This is awesome. The way furcal, and the agents (and I'm going back to our situation too) treated us and the Braves is disgusting, and I really like what the Braves are doing. BRAVO Braves. I think Hendry had a handshake too. Furcal is disgusting too, he only cares about the money. Now now, I know you can say that about most players. But atleast they ACT like they care and have some integrity. Furcal: Yeah I like this team I want to play for them. . . . . Wait the dodgers are gonna give me that much per year? I'm gonna sign with them. Your supposed to wait for the handshake and talking about how much you like that club until AFTER you are sure you are gonna sign with them. LOL.

    I don't know if I like having to trade Dero to get Peavy. Peavy is wonderful and all. But Dero is a very good 2nd baseman and utility guy. Plus like Kerry Wood, I just like his attitude.

    Yeah I know what you mean. It is kinda surreal, and exciting. Who would have thought last summer we'd be going after Harden? Now it's possible we'll have Harden and Peavy to start next year.

    Maybe "predicting a world series" sort of ties in to the whole overconfidence thing. As Demptster was quoted saying something along the lines of "we expected 2 freebies at home". So I agree with the TC. Stop predicting WS' and stop being so damn overconfident.

    No, because the one idiot that came up with the idea isn't the one that needs made fun of. He is making bank on the lame people who buy the shirts from him. I honestly doubt he's gonna make much more money than just to cover the cost of dreaming up this stupid idea in the first place.

    Being espn, how much of the game do you think they'll actually broadcast tonite? I'll say they don't cut in to the game until the bottom of the 2nd with bases loaded. And due to cut outs, updades they'll only broadcast about 8% of the game tonite.

    It's simular to the Soriano situation in that they both got hit on the hands. But Soriano didn't need surgery. Lee's hand really got busted up there.

    Funny how things work out isn't it? We were all calling CF a hole (rightfully so probably) and then we get 2 guys cheap in Edmonds and Johnson and look at the #'s their putting up in a platoon. It's got to be above .900 OPS I'm sure (since we've aquired Edmonds). Which proves either 1) It's our year, or 2) you don't always have to feel every position is perfect at the start of the season.

    Thanks for the link. I'm ordering one. And not even to make it into a half shirt. You know why? Jim Edmonds has KICKED ASS as a Chicago Cub this year. That's why. YEAHH!!!

    Good for the pirates. I only vaguely remember one name from the radio, Laroche to Pirates. I remember hearing his name b4 as a decent prospect (as you can tell I don't follow the minors). But it's nice the Pirates actually get some good players in a deal. :D

    Feilder has been doing that sort of stuff to baserunners ever since I started watching them win or lose. He's very talkative over there at 1st base.

    Bad Hops, Wind, Sheets getting hurt. Those are all things that can happen in real life. It has nothing to do with mystique or magneto. Since when did a good team taking advantage of a bad hop suddenly turn into "mystique". Mystique could be described as things you cannot understand. And you clearly cannot comprehend it so put a label of mystique on it.
