    Yeah, I do remember a few peeps here saying Beane would want a high quality ML ready guy. None of the guys we gave up are top of the line guys. Good role players yes. But not what we thought. Unless, god forbid, Beane knows he's injured and that's the only reason we got him. Bite your tongue, knock on wood.

And I first thought he would have been smirking sarcastically. But he was actually kinda annoyed and serious when he responded. He's probably tired of being asked about the Cardinals. I can understand that if he hears it all the time. Plus they gave up on him in his eyes so there might be some resentment there.
