    Are you saying Marshall is a better starting option than Kerry Wood? I can't see Wood being effective out of the bullpen right now. With all the shoulder stiffness he's been having there's no way he could pitch in back to back games or even 2 every other day. What I think is Marshall is better than Miller. He has proven he can be a reliable (and good) starting pitcher. What I'd like to see is keep Marshall on regular rest. You just KNOW at some point Wood or Prior are going to miss a start. That's when you use miller.

    No, not really. Way to keep your head up. Could we at least all agree to hope for one? I think we all are HOPING for one. We just all probably feel like, if the Cubs get back to where they are ACTUALLY in it (wild card race), then we can start caring again. It helps keep us sane. I like what I see. And it's nice to know we have Nevin in there until Lee gets back. But remember. We still have to suffer through Barret's suspension too. And that could kill any hot streak we might get on.

    No. We've won the series against the Cards, but then we'll revert back to suckiness. We can do well against the Cards, but not against crappy teams. Same here. Right now I have the stance of. Wake me up when the Cubs are at .500 and playing .600 baseball and looking hot.

    Right, I wouldn't look into platooning JUST yet. Not while Jaque is so hot. But this needs to be said. We have Nevin at 1B so we can have someone GOOD at 2B dustworthless!! He will be a good DH to have during interleague games. And off the bench.

    So he would have been pitching on 6 days rest before huh? Ok not much of a problem here. Hopefully it's just some minor stiffness for Kerry (not saying Wood, sorry) that he has just because he's just got back to pitching full games recently and not fully into his pitching shape yet.

    I can't blame him for that, he probably could have gotten in 3rd if he would have just slid, now looking at the replay. Really? Mulder got the ball to Rolen in a hurry. Rolen didn't get the ball until JJ was almost there. It's that he backed up that he got tagged. I really think if he slid in feet first he had a chance to make it. Now that I look back at it he shouldn't have taken off. But the ball came back so fast I can call this as bad of a blunder as getting picked off 2B.

    Just got in. Why the *#$! is Dusty putting in Neiworthless at 2b instead of womack!!?!? Womack only played a few innings yesterday and is the cubs hottest bat!?!?!?! Dusty secretly hates us all and is doing this to hurt us. There is no other explanation. .
