    I'm affraid there are going to be some reports of some scattered poor ol' cubs fans that had heart attacks over the weekend. And some suicides as well.

    Life hates me. You're at least safe from the Cardinal fans. Do I attend the parade Sunday in cubs gear? We can go together....it'll be like the final sceen from Mr. and Mrs. Smith...you me, back to back, just firing in every direction we can ... (overly sensitive people...i'm joking...I won't shoot people) awwww NUTZ. :)

    I'm so mad right now. If Hendry would have put a #*$*@n team together this year WE could have won it all. Instead he filled the roster with crap neifis and crab bynums and crap rusch's. . Then again those some players would have been the MVPs on the cards team. #*#*@!!

    You know, just looking at the pictures, reminds me of just how good the pitching that has come through the Cubs farm system. And I cringe to think where we'd be if we didn't foolishly trade some of them, abuse some of them. . Just some of the great pitchers that have come out of the Cubs system. Imagine if you had your pick out of a healthy bunch of these. . . Zambrano, Hill, Willis, Garland, Wood, Prior, Nolasco. . . next year instead of just having Zambrano and Hill and having to build around only them. .

    I wouldn't be upset with Kuroda as long as we went out and got 1 more very good pitcher and really beefed up the offense. And who knows, maybe Kuroda could have a great year. I just want a japanese guy on our team.

    Same here. Oddly enough, I don't really have strong feelings against the other NL Central teams outside of the Cardinals and the Astros. I don't know know why, but seeing the Brewers, Pirates or Reds win it all wouldn't get to me as much as the other two. The Cardinals are the Cardinals, and the Astros have been above average to great since the mid 1990s. The other 3 have been mostly bad for 20 years with a few exceptions (hey, kinda like us!) What I want to know is why fans of every team in the NL Central have this bitter hate for us for some reason. Are they who you thought they were? Sorry, the combination of "Cardinals" and SportsCenter talking about the Bears-Niners game today made me think of that line and I couldn't resist. I think many Cubs fans are feeling much like Green now. Very dissapointed, angry, depressed. Everything. . YOU WANT TO CROWN EM!? THEN CROWN THEIR ASSES!!

    Who made the comment after the 2005 season that he liked players who can catch the ball? I rest my case. I think he'll be saying this winter he likes players who "hit the ball". . we shall see. .

    Maybe a little talk with Billy Beane. I like what Lou says about woirking the count. Don't just take pitches without a plan, have a plan and work it the way a hitter should by making a pitcher pitch and hit your pitches and not his. Perhaps Dusty himself really doesn't believe in taking no walks and swinging at everything. Maybe that's really Hendry, and Dusty was just trying to carry out his plan. Which of course failed miserably. I doubt it. I just think he knows it gives him a bad reputation so he's changing his tune now so he will look better to the public, and to possible teams looking for a manager. Nothing more. .

    The Cubs motto for 2007: Zambrano, Matsuzaka, and Hill then go take a pill. Not exactly Spahn and Sain and pray for rain. And it doesn't roll of your tongue either. Carlos, Daisuke, and Rich. Boy we can really pitch!! We bewitch, we make hitters twitch, we'll make you our *****!! . . howszat.

    So far. . M: Lou Piniella PC: Larry Rothschild BC: Alan Trammel 3B: Mike Quade 1B: HC: Who do you think the Cubs would get? I would want Van Joshua for HC and after hearing the "score rumor" I think I would warm up to giving Ryne Sandberg a shot at 1B. I can say one thing. It's an improvement and I am glad to finally see those loafs of coaches finally gone. . We've got the hugest problem coaches spots of last year still to fill. With the Sarge and Gene Clines. Anybody would be better than them. But the HC especially is a very important spot for the Cubs. They need someone to teach patience and help the hitters to be more selective. .

    Ryan being part of the Cubs team in any way while the Cubs won the world series. Now THAT, would be the greatest thing. Harvey or Theriot? Ryne Sandberg and Ryan Theroit would be good. :wink: So would Sandberg. :wink: Why is everybody picking on me today? :cry: I can spell Piniella right! (thanks serena). :lol:
