    Both signing Kimbrel and trading for Castellanos were the type of moves this galaxy-brained FO should have done in their sleep BEFORE THE horsefeathering SEASON STARTED. Like, who could have possibly predicted the terrible bullpen and the terrible OF would be areas of need? GEE, IT'S A REAL PUZZLER. Theo wanted both (obviously). Those are on PTR Man, I love the PTR meme more than anyone, but I will never believe ever that the FO was suddenly broadsided by out of nowhere financial restrictions by the Ricketts. Yeah, the owners are lame as horsefeathers, but this is largely a repeat of the kind of horsefeathers bad spending Epstein got bogged down by in Boston.

    Assuming health I think he’ll be fine, not lock down like the past but good enough. He’s still throwing 96+ and has the breaker. Yup. If they had just signed him on a normal horsefeathering schedule he probably would have been fine, even if it was just the version of Kimbrel through most of the 2018 season.

    In the sense that umps are terrible and pretty much every team has been getting screwed over by their terrible calls, yes. If you mean "actively" as in the umps inexplicably have some sort of reason to call the Cubs even worse than usual, then what the hell, dude. That's bonkers.

    He had a nice road trip but he’s gone ice cold since getting home and he’s a huge liability in the lineup with he’s slumping. Happ will at least take walks and provide a power threat. You're only right about Happ having more power right now; Heyward still has a .385 OBP over the last week, so the whole "he doesn't walk" thing is weird. Odds are both guys give you pretty much the same value with sustained playing time, so I have no problem playing them based on matchups.

    Or the Cubs pass up the Cardinals but also get passed up by Milwaukee for the division. Milwaukee is in a really good spot Unless they moved the city recently, that's not true at all.

    I don't know what this means considering how incredibly different these two QBs are, but my god it will be a miracle if Mitchell somehow gets to 24 touchdowns this year. it was meant to mean that Eli was hugely disappointing his first 3 years in the fact that he was just...mediocre. Now, Eli won a couple of Super Bowls-some would eve say despite the fact his team was quarterbacked by Eli Manning. He does have that above Mitchell. But in the end, my only real point is if you think Eli is somehow an improvement over Trubisky at this stage of Mannings career, you're nuts. Or stupid. Or perhaps, full of gumbers pee balls. Magnificent.
