  1. The image of Ross breaking up a meeting on the mound with some spontaneous power horsefeathering is pretty amazing.
  2. horsefeathers what he's done in the past; he's been terrible at everything and hitting everyone for damn near a year.
  3. I get this feel from him too and don’t think whoever they bring will be allowed as much freedom to make uninformed/gut decisions and have to go more “by the book.” So if it’s him I’m guessing he’s told it’s not gonna be that way, but maybe he is a data driven guy and our impression is wrong. I mostly don’t want Ross though because, even with expected turnover, he will have played with a lot of these guys and I see it hard for him to be an authority figure with them. I don’t want a Girardi style guy but there’s times a manager needs to come down on dudes and I think when Ross would have to do it the message might not be taken seriously or get across to guys like it should. Unless gm was right all along.
  4. Plus Heyward has at least shown he can have stretches of being decent at any time. Almora, outside of a single month where his OPS was technically salvaged by an absurd slugging total on the back of 6 fluke juiced ball dongs, has essentially been hot butt (the bad kind) for about 9 straight months of baseball.
  5. So...like Maddon.
  6. I'm a believer in the whole stupid, "shitty journeymen catchers make decent coaches/managers" thing. Bring on Ross, that [expletive] scumbag.
  7. I mean, is Walter White a goofball dad who has three rambunctious kids and a nagging wife? Since Jesse is basically his kid...yes!
  8. Derwood takes the rules of Office metaphors VERY SERIOUSLY. That's SUCH an Oscar move.
  9. Meh; he strikes me as doing the bland, movie star version of being a Tom Brady-type creep, but just slightly smarter enough to not actually be seen with one of those dumb red hats. He knows what he's doing. Also: his head is WAY too horsefeathering big.
  10. Sure, if we ignore things like Benghazi: The Movie, his repeated non-answers about wanting to be "not political" despite hanging his career choices at this point on VERY political roles, and the hilarious idea of only Jack Ryan can save the world from a NUCLEAR VENEZUELA, it's like it's not even there at all.
  11. THE DONG DONG CURSE HAS BEEN BROKEN.
  12. Thanks for the sick ass mercy call, ump. YU CAN DO THIS.
  13. If Darvish gets out of this inning with his ERA still under 4 I will finally horsefeathering BELIEVE.
  14. DELICIOUSLY SAVAGE.
  15. I would not be surprised if the Cubs went 6-1 or 1-6 vs the Cardinals. Who the hell knows? [narrator]We all knew.[/narrator]
  16. If we're lucky, that's just Nagy projecting his descent into madness onto Mitch. My fingers are permanently tented with glee over this.
  17. Oh, horsefeathers; a stupid afternoon game. Can't use the easy out of falling asleep like I could with the other ones. Or can I....
  18. 2019 Cubs = http://raymescallado.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/ryanstabsliam-sm.gif
  19. Definitely. Also, both the Cubs and Jim took a huge a heel turn in trying to shamelessly woo the MAGA crowd.
  20. They went through a good stretch there where they were tolerable.
