  1. My guess: screaming at Ventura because he's a moron and demanding to be traded from such a terrible franchise Yeah, or just general screaming at Ventura wanting him fired. It's hilarious that the FO has held onto someone so bad at their job for this long.
  2. Thanks! I'm shooting to be at my target weight by the end of September so that I can properly cut loose when I'm back in Chicago in October to witness the Cubs make history. It'll line up perfectly.
  3. Thanks. Yeah, I had to actually scale back my exercise when starting this, and it's made me a little stir crazy. Basically I can do a ton of walking and stretching and a little core stuff that's about it. No weights or running for another month or so. And you're right about how looking at the food weirdly helps. I thought it would make me hungry, but it's just so over the top that it just ends up being fun to look at and to try and top. Basically this diet has me craving things like eating a good sandwich as opposed to an entire pizza.
  4. The deep dish hot dog? Oh, definitely' that looks wretched. Yea that's what I was referring to. Realized you were talking about the pics of bad nachos, too. I thought you were generally anti-nacho at first, and there was going to be words. Now, PIZZA-NACHOS FOR EVERYONE: http://i.imgur.com/6QtQddX.jpg

  6. high protein, high fat, low carb? low fat, high carb? low fat low carb? It's the Ideal Protein diet; low carb, low sugar, low fat. Tons of veggies, protein-packed diet foods and 8 oz. of meat with dinner each night. I had been losing weight since the beginning of the year on my own, but then had a blood pressure spike that medicine could only get down so far. Doing this through my cardiologist's office (my heart has checked out as healthy, thankfully) and I've lost 20 pounds in 3 weeks. If you stick to the diet, men lose about 4-7 pounds a week and the protein and supplements prevent you from losing lean tissue. I have to go in each week to be weighed and measured, and they check my BP and do blood work every few weeks to make sure everything else is working fine. Ultimately it's something I could do on my own if I really invested the time and effort in making all of the food and measuring out the supplements, but I do much better with this sort of thing the less work I have to do. Can't argue with the results so far; sleeping better, BP down to normal levels and generally feeling MUCH better. I'll probably keep it up for another couple of months to get back to a weight I haven't been at in over a decade.
  7. This is mostly my way of venting because I'm currently on a REALLY restricted high-protein diet. It's working great, but looking up horrendous junk food has become a weird habit for me.
  8. The pizza-dog would be too greasy for my liking, but the more I looked at the spaghetti-pizza the more I am intrigued.
  9. Sir, open your heart to this spaghetti-pizza.... http://i.imgur.com/0Ghzdr6.jpg
  10. Oh, you'll look at this picture of pizza-hot dogs and you'll LIKE IT. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ypAe_V3ofnA/Va5xLFoo16I/AAAAAAAANm8/jSFWXJ7oBNk/s1600/double%2Bstuffed%2Bpizza%2Bdogs.JPG

  12. i don't think anybody has said anyone is crazy for not being huge on spaghetti. and it's definitely miles behind lasagna. i just think it's weird to think basic noodles are "gross." It doesn't seem that weird; it's a texture thing.
  13. Lots of people are grossed out by the different type of spaghetti noodles. I like the thicker ones, but it seems like plenty of people don't like those because they are "more wet" than the thinner ones tend to be. Personally, I don't like the thinner ones because it seems like they tend to clump together.
  14. Structural integrity; if the hope is to eat that as a sandwich, surely it would collapse if you're trying to pick it up and it's been soaking in maple syrup. Probably best to cook it in with the pancake in this situation.
  15. That's the look of a man who has been viewing the Voglebach trade thread. PANCAKE SANDWICH: is it actually a sandwich?!? http://foodnetwork.sndimg.com/content/dam/images/food/fullset/2015/11/2/2/FNK_Hangover-Pancake-Sandwich_s4x3.jpg
  16. I think it's pretty likely they ultimately want Contreras behind the plate, at least more often than not. They need a new primary catcher next season, and so far he seems better suited to that role than Schwarber. Basically Soler is the odd man out in pretty much any equation, even if they don't bring back Fowler. Maybe not going for a rental OF is the best use of him, but I'm going to be pretty annoyed if they don't capitalize on what value he still has to upgrade somewhere this season.
  17. Bruce has had 3 terrible seasons in a row; as much as Soler is likely to suck and despite Bruce still having some thump, hard pass.
  18. Looks like some Ohio [expletive]. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I already have issues with spaghetti's texture, but slimy spaghetti with crunchy toast and melted cheese. There's just no way. Actually makes me think of those horrific new deep fried Cheetos dust covered mac and cheese bites BK is doing. One bite and never ever again. See, I love piling spaghetti on crunchy garlic bread with cheese melted on it, but something about this sandwich just seems nasty. It's probably too soft, and the sauce looks like some Chef Boyardee horsefeathers.
  19. That's crazy talk, the edge is the best part. yeah i was with him until he mentioned lasagna. To me, crunchy noodles are crunchy noodles; just ruins whatever pasta I'm eating.
  20. I can't even tell if the meat is am unappealing-looking burger or Spam or something even more unexpected like liverwurst.
  21. The guy on the right clearly cannot unsee what he has seen, and it bothers him.
  22. I was angry with my friend; I told my wrath, my wrath did end. I was angry with my foe; I told it not, my wrath did grow. And I watered it with fears, Night and morning with my tears. And I sunned it with smiles And with soft, deceitful wiles. And it grew both day and night - 'til it bore an apple bright. And my foe beheld it shine, And he knew that it was mine. And into my garden stole, When the night had veiled his pole; In the morning, glad I see; My foe outstretched beneath the tree.
