  1. Though the live rap, what with their hipping and their hopping, tends to be butt.
  2. They are, after all, sulley's team.
  3. I think it's more likely the Bears never win another Super Bowl.

  8. Most of the posters there, of what I've seen, seem alright, even when the thread is about the Cubs. Surely there are worse, more WSI-like Cardinals boards out there.
  9. NL better get the DH quick.
  10. The pitcher who tried to hit Kang (which started the brawl) got ejected also. Rodriguez is nuts and way over reacted (shocking) but this one is on Washington. Kang deked Harper into a slide into third and Harper got hurt because he couldn't slide properly and wasn't watching his third base coach telling him the throw was wide. Isn't it against the rules to fake a tag like Kang did? I can't keep track of these things.
  11. I want them to only ever do stuff like this when playing the Cardinals.
  12. I thought it was a ridiculous thing to do for a bench player who sucked for a good 50% of his time as a Cub, regardless of how likable he is, and I'm totally telling myself that it was mostly done just as a huge, hilarious FU to the Cardinals and their fans and the kind of BFiB nonsense they huff up their butts on a regular basis. Basically if this became a regular thing for the Cubs I would be...disappointed.
  13. Look at it this way: we're talking about them doing something unprecedented for this guy. That doesn't seem too likely.
  14. Yeah, if he focused on that part of his game and basically became a hitter instead of a pitcher; as it stands, I don't look at a pitcher hitting great in the Japanese leagues as being likely to translate that to the MLB in terms of him being SO good that a team would be willing to risk putting an amazing starting pitcher into the lineup as a fielder so he could hit. It seems silly to think this guy being a real life Steve Nebraska in the MLB is realistic in any way.
  15. Because he has resting squishy-face, and it just makes him look annoyed with everything.
  16. He'd have to be pretty ridonkulous as a hitter to get any team to be willing to risk a pitcher that way. Basically, willingness to be creative with the lineup isn't the key factor here; money is. His value overwhelmingly comes from how well he pitches, and no team is going to risk losing that because of some stupid, easily avoidable injury letting the guy play LF when the reality is as a hitter in the US he's almost certainly just going to be "a good hitter for a pitcher."
  17. I'm honestly surprised at how much this is still bumming me out. What a damn shame.
  18. I'm expecting/kinda hoping that Montero is the go-to Lester/Jake guy next year.

  20. Everything about this is so satisfying.
  21. Yeah, I thought RS was kidding around; no team that's going to be able to invest the money it's going to take to sign him is going to risk that by letting him play the OF and hit regularly. Hell, they wouldn't even use as much as you've seen guys like Wood or Marquis pinch-run or hit or even rarely play the field.
  22. He seemed like one of those guys that just made everyone around him happier. what a tragic loss Yeah, the guy just always seemed to be having such a blast out there.
