I hope we make the playoffs just so Marquis' awfulness can truly be appreciated on a grand scale once more. It's a miracle we only gave up 1 there. Hopefully everyone gives Marquis the Full Metal Jacket soaping for walking the first 2 batters of the damn game of one of the worst teams in baseball.

They are an average team when Barry is playing. The rest of their offense isn't all that special. Yeah, but sometimes the teams that are way out of it are some of the most "dangerous." They can get into a groove for a stretch towards the end and cause havoc when they play contending teams, like those damn Reds just did to us and the Brewers. Hopefully the Cubs can cool them off.

ownership doesn't/shouldn't affect how the core group performs Then if this the core group, no. Too streaky. I feel that further acquisitions are needed to make this a truly impressive team with some longevity. -

Everything in life is relative. Rich Hill is incosistent compared to who? Speaking of HRs Lilly has been giving them up a pretty good clip. His own demonstrated capabilities? did you misunderstand the question or are you avoiding it? Every pitcher is inconsistent. A player with a 3.00 ERA doesn't give up 2 Rs over 6 innings every time out. There are gems and poundings mixed in with decent and below average outings. Demonstrate how this doesn't describe Rich Hill and most every other ML SP, please. What? He said everything was relative and then asked who Rich Hill was inconsistent compared to. My response was his own demonstrated capabilities, ie - he's been much better for periods of time than he has for stretches this season. What am I avoiding? I never said Rich was some kind of anomaly compared to other pitchers. -
