Where would he play? RF? I'd play him in LF and move Soriano to RF (Murton would almost certainly be a piece of the multi-team deal it would take to snag Cabrera). A hitter that good you make room for him. That said, however, I think Miggy is pretty adamant that he wants to stay at 3B, so that could make signing him longterm after trading for him a problem, hence why I think him being a Cub is pretty much a pipe dream.

I think pitch counts are too much of an issue these days for a pitcher to get to having a decent shot of 21. Unless they're on and really not wasting any pitches, I don't see it happening.
