  1. Robots aren't allowed to vote. Go back to stealing old people's pills for fuel wih your cold, cold metal claws.
  2. That game was so awesome. Floyd was nothing special, but that's easily one of my favorite Cubs moments in my lifetime.
  3. Nobody should be kept out by anything that the league wasn't saying no to at the time it was done. Hell, the Black Sox should be in.
  4. Fukudome's not going to be the regular CFer. Bet on it.
  5. Well, la-dee-dah, God of the Interwebs.
  6. Who cares if he was only average? I'll happily pay an averae pitcher $3-5 million a year as opposed to more for a crappy pitcher, something this team has done plenty of times. And "forget all these small numbers?" What the hell does that even mean?
  7. You're wrong. It means he's a piss poor ninny who should be dealt immediately. What kind of pansy has a higher ERA with guys on base? I'll tell you what kind, a documented steroid abuser. Funny how you revert to this type of a point when you can't prove me wrong. 'Cuse, it's going to be impossible to prove you wrong, because if he's getting rocked, his numbers will suck because he's getting rocked. You've constructed a circular argument. No I haven't USS. What I'm asking is what numbers prove when he is struggling how he reacts to that. Prior has had success his whole life and is used to things going his way pitching wise. My point is when he doesn't have that success, how he reacted or performed when he was failing. I've worked with many pitchers in my life and I've seen and actually been there when some of them that when things are going well, they're fine. But, when they get hit hard their confidence changes. It's my opinion that Prior was like this. Now, I've had kids that were just as good but wouldn't give an inch at any time. Again, it's my opinion. I'd argue that the majority of pitchers who give up 4 runs or more in a game likely aren't in it long enough to hold it down.
  8. Cuse, seriously, this argument is self-defeating. It makes no sense to push it.
  9. It's hard not to look at him when his mutant melon blots out the sun.
  10. That card only makes me want to punish Sammy for Soul-Glo abuse.
  11. It's kind of weird that nobody seems able to bust him. Seriously...we're talking about Sammy-freakin'-Sosa, and he he keeps making out like the Teflon Slugger.
  12. [Hendry]DONE. See you guys in February![/Hendry]
  13. Didn't Sosa also bulk up at a younger age than a lot of these guys? Like, when it would be more natural to do so. I'm just baffled that he's gotten off clean. I've heard that Sosa spent more time in the gym than any other player.
  14. Did you guys hear the weird Russian-sounding audio feed that cut in for like 30 seconds on the ESPN broadcast?
  15. Probably imflamed from funky injections.
  16. I saw that. Wood was injured in 99 though, right? So I don't think he'd be one of those guys. Farnsworth? Jose Hernandez? Benito Santiago? GlenAllen Hill? Sosa? Well, he talks about players sharing an apartment, so it would likely be younger/"poorer" players.
  17. I swear to God I just heard Mitchell try and compare what's going on in baseball with the Northern Ireland situation. Just go away.
  18. Agreed. Exactly. This is what a lot of us have been saying.
  19. Or was just smart enough to not use a personal check. And for baseball players, the probably qualifies as genius. Exactly. Remember the level we're talking about here, and how Sammy seems like not the brightest guy around, yet he leaves no trail. I must give him kudos for keeping his operation TIGHT.
  20. Sammy Sosa is some kind of freakin' evil genius mastermind living in his island lair.
  21. RICKY BONES, NOOOOOOOOOO!!!
  22. I love it when people throw out statements like that with absolutely no proof to back it up. There's just as much non-proof that they didn't use any of the "helpers" of their respective eras.
