  1. Alright, that's pretty damn great.
  2. Man, Cubs have had some good patient AB's today.
  3. So is that potentially different in terms of liability from other areas of the ballpark? Everywhere else would be covered by all of the warnings to watch out for bats and balls, but does the presence of the screen/net change that for people in those seats? Basically I'm asking if she would have a case if she tried to sue.
  4. Here's the video: How the [expletive] did that get through? Is there a hole in the screen?
  5. Yeah, despite the often crap product, I've been really happy with those seats. The section is usually only 60-70% full at the most, so there's always plenty of room to spread out. Bathroom nearby, too.
  6. Upper deck, right above the Cubs' bullpen, on the aisle: viewtopic.php?p=2898803#p2898803
  7. Puig = sulley's new best friend: http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/mlb-big-league-stew/yasiel-puig-hit-12-million-lawsuit-accused-being-190514698.html
  8. Still one of the saddest damn articles: http://archives.progressiveboink.com/archive/expos.htm
  9. How empty it is depends on who they're playing, but unless it's the Cardinals there's going to be some decent seats still available. I've got my tickets for the 30th available, but it's just a pair.
  10. I'm sure there's outcry from a group of residents. Heck, in Lincoln Park, people are up in arms about putting a Walgreens on Armitage. People will complain about anything. Well, that's for several reasons. I'm down the street from there and the initial outcry was over the loss of the old Baptist church it replaced. The the main issue was them being able to sell liquor, and when they would be. Me, I can't wait until it opens up. I only have [expletive] Treasure Islands and 7-11's around me, so having an option like that between my L stop and home is awesome.
  11. Then perhaps you will enjoy this breakdown of that montage: http://www.sbnation.com/2013/6/21/4449812/enhance-little-big-leagues-baffling-runaround-sue-montage
  12. From LBL, but still, it makes me laugh in how dorky it is: http://assets.sbnation.com/assets/2816899/celebraish.gif
  13. I could have sworn I caught the weekend Sox show on the Score a few weeks ago and they mentioned something about Sale having the success he is having "despite throwing his fastball a couple of miles slower" or something along those lines. I have no idea if this is correct or not.
  14. Since you used your two first-half transactions, this will count as your first second-half transaction, and will subsequently apply when games resume. In that case... Drop Ryan Braun Add Miguel Cabrera Drop Matt Kemp Add Carlos Gonzaelz
  15. Yeah, I'm not really understanding the argument against him...the Cubs are better off because they've gotten similar or even better production at times from someone like Soriano or Schierholtz or DeJesus this season? How is that a good thing? I'd rather have a younger guy with real potential around for at least 4 years than older guys signed for a year or two who are either going to be gone or were simply brought in to platoon/be traded.
  16. CESPEDES WILL RULE US ALL. Get your damn logic out of here, TT; it cannot heal my broken heart.
  17. Pujols also played against the Cubs in an era in which the Cubs emerged as a contender and should have done more. McGwire's time coincided with a time when the Cubs had a brief glimpse of success but were largely an also ran. Yeah, definitely. Outside of the HR chase I really didn't see McGwire as more than just an annoyance who wasn't around very long, whereas Pujols was an active detriment to this team doing better when they actually had several chances to really succeed while he was on the Cardinals.
  18. Still think that story is nonsense. His agent would have to be one of the worst ever.
