Why can't Castro at least be entertaining when he's having a miserable year like Andrus? Starlin looks like he hates being out there most of the time. What I'm getting at is that Starlin Castro sucks at everything.

If you're going to be trite and snarky, would it be too much to ask that it actually be directly in response to something someone said? Looks to me like that was in direct response to the article about how much Castro sucks now. Yes. It was an obnoxious article ending basically with a threat/hope/whatever that his time here may be short if he doesn't shape up. It was terrible all around.

The DePaul thing is a mess...Rahm talked about it like that's where the Chicago casino will go and the rest will be used for conventions and [expletive] like that and they need state money, but you have Springfield talking like there is no money so who knows. If the Cubs can get city money by plunking down a casino in Wrigleyville, hey, go nuts, because that's what this DePaul deal seems hinged on.

But yeah, the Ameritrade guys were totally scammed and flimflammed by Scrooge McZell and the Chicago Boys like a bunch of babes in the wilderness. Makes perfect sense. There's tons of things we can actually point to when it comes to them running a baseball team like a bunch of assholes than misery porn-ing it up with this goofy [expletive].

It blows my mind that seemingly semi-intelligent people thinks the Cubs were ever going to get any money from the city from 2008 through today.

I think this is ridiculous. He may well have been taken advantage of by Zell, but it certainly wasn't due to naivety. I'm much more inclined to believe it was due to the fact that he was the only one that wanted the Cubs badly enough to agree to the deal as it's structured. Data point No. 2 is how naively he's handled the renovations. That conclusion is based on someone thinking something like they should have just thrown a bunch of dirty money at a bunch of fat guys wearing monocles and smoking big cigars because that's totally totally how these things get done because LULZ CHICAGO POLITICS AMIRITE.
