It would have to take a overpay to trade him, imo. He still has a year of team control, iirc. We still need to field a team next year and it's not like the minor leaugers will be ready to break through to fill his spot. Yeah, that too; trading Hairston and now with it looking like Soriano being gone I'd be very surprised if they move Schierholtz. I never understand why anyone would bring up Valbuena as being trade bait right now; despite the prospect parade they don't have anyone to replace him now and nobody to replace him at the beginning of next season. He's young, he's cheap and he's productive in a position of need; no need to move him yet.
