  1. I like how you talk about the Giants like NOBODY ELSE on the team could possibly have been using and they were all surprised or aghast once they put everything together. Look, forget about Bonds; he's an extreme outlier in pretty much every category we're talking about, including looking like a monster. I don't know why you're so hung up on it, but just move on. Probably a good 90%+ of PED users never bulked up to a suspect level.
  2. PLEASE DESTROY ALL BRONIES.
  3. I don't think Bonds, Sosa, or ARod used a legal PED alone. There was always something illegal they were taking in addition to any legal ones. I don't have a problem if you have a prescription. I don't think they did. There's so much wrong with this I don't even know where to begin.
  4. The point is that "looking for huge guys" isn't an accurate way of guessing who was and is using PEDs. Not everyone hulks out. When do you think Sosa started using? Sure, not everyone does. But Bonds did. That is really not debatable. Nobody has disagreed with that point, so I have no idea what you think you're arguing. So his power and build increase from 1993-1997 was just one of those things?
  5. Right, and not all of the drugs you're decrying were illegal at that point, and tons of the players using the "banned" ones were getting prescriptions.
  6. The point is that "looking for huge guys" isn't an accurate way of guessing who was and is using PEDs. Not everyone hulks out. When do you think Sosa started using?
  7. During the 1998 season? No. Starting with the 1999 season and onward? Yes. Definitively he wasn't busted until a 2000 test.
  8. Wait, you think ALL "steroids" were made illegal in 1991?
  9. I said it was rare. There is no evidence that Hank did PED's other than trying them once, despite the fluctuations and his home runs staying on a level plane. Why do you think Aaron's numbers were so great toward the end of his career? There's no evidence that Sosa did either, but here we are ? http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=4264062 Yes, in 2003. He never tested positive or was busted before that. You're the one that keeps railing on about evidence, and then people bring up the tests and you turn around and say the evidence is "Wilson looked at his TV and decided that guy was too big."
  10. I said it was rare. There is no evidence that Hank did PED's other than trying them once, despite the fluctuations and his home runs staying on a level plane. Why do you think Aaron's numbers were so great toward the end of his career? Probably because he was using PEDs. Why him saying he didn't keep taking speed means to you he definitively didn't ever take it again or didn't use anything else makes no sense.
  11. And man, the point you're trying to make is even worse the more I think about it...so what if his numbers fluctuated regularly? That still doesn't explain an old-ass player having a career-high power surge that late. One would expect the fluctuations to continue on a decreasing scale, not increasing or staying level.
  12. So if he was playing now he'd either be hitting 97 or -16.
  13. A lot of the PEDs used over the last 50 years or so have been legal.
  14. So you don't have a problem with "cheating" as long as the "cheating" doesn't help too much. No, I said both were wrong and I would hold Aaron and Bonds to the same standard. But greenies and modern steroids have far different effects. That's debatable, especially given how it's pretty much a lock that a LOT more players used amphetamines than used Bonds-ian regimes of anabolic steroids.
  15. Y'know, you've already made it abundantly clear here before that you don't understand evolution, either, so to see you use "evolved" like that is doubly hilarious.
  16. So you don't have a problem with "cheating" as long as the "cheating" doesn't help too much. He must love corked bats.
  17. No, those are the ones around the stadium. The ones in the dugout are the big ol' hoopty-looking ones from public schools painted green, and they've been beaten to [expletive] by bats and helmets and the like.
  18. Is that even a 10 foot rim? Unless part of Rose's ACL surgery was to put 4 ft. extensions in his knees
  19. Someone ring the gong for Wilson.
  20. STEROIDS! Existing in anabolic form since 1931, but only making dudes unacceptably swole from whenever the hell Wilson decides and only certain dudes and only certain levels of swole you know the one.
  21. Um yeah that's what roids do. Sometimes. Horse steroids do. What year did Bonds's head get big. That was the year I thought he started. Maybe before 2002. That was HGH. Steroids don't make your head big. Horsey Growth Hormones?
  22. Um yeah that's what roids do. Sometimes. Horse steroids do. What year did Bonds's head get big. That was the year I thought he started. Maybe before 2002. It's pretty well documented that he started taking them after the 1998 season because he was pissed Sosa and McGwire were getting all the attention when he thought he was a far superior player to them. He started juicing out of his mind at that point and turned into the incredible Hulk. That's just like the 800th thing mentioned in this thread that he could easily look up, yet seems to refuse to do so.
  23. As opposed to previous eras of PED usage, which were just fine.
  24. Um yeah that's what roids do. People noticed it. Everyone saw Bonds in 2002. He was a different person. Do you think Sosa was on roids in 1998? Bonds hit 73 HR in 2001. Dude, he was HUGE! Hank was only a little bit bigger.
  25. Um yeah that's what roids do. Sometimes.
