  1. Seriously. Leave it to abuck, imb, and occasionally treymon. Those guys are funny. I can barely be bothered to brush you off the nuts you are trying to hang off of here. http://replygif.net/i/1445.gif
  2. In your case I wouldn't try wittier either. Go for a gimme putt like being taller. http://replygif.net/i/1169.gif
  3. And failing pretty badly. As usual, I'm winning. abuck's got the right idea in trying to be wittier without trying to be smarter. It's most of you's only hope. http://replygif.net/i/250.gif
  4. Don't mistake my disinterest in what you want for ignorance of it. http://replygif.net/i/762.gif
  5. Swing-and-miss percentage against righties: 2012 AA: 30.6% 2013 AAA: 37.5% 2014 MLB: 33.3% 2011-onward minor league OPS (because that's what minorleaguecentral covers): vs. L OPS: .960 vs. R OPS .790 And just visually, he's clearly got some holes in his swing vs. righties that MLB pitchers will exploit consistently. Right-handed breaking stuff completely befuddles him. I agree; Rizzo should be platooned.
  6. http://replygif.net/i/765.gif WHERE IS THIS FROM Craig Ferguson's show, apparently.
  7. If you stick to platooning him, you can squeeze some value out of him. If your roster is set up to platoon 3b, he's a good option for the short end of it. http://replygif.net/i/1448.gif
  8. No, nowhere. One of the radio shows here brought it up in the offseason.
  9. I'm having surprisingly good luck selling them thus far. Are you using stubhub or something else? Hadn't moved to StubHub outside of a couple games because I was having more than enough people around me willing to pick them up.
  10. I'm not really a Rizzo fan and I'm still bemused/baffled with how neely keeps bringing him up like people are slobbering over him like he's a once in a lifetime talent.
  11. if bryant's not going to be able to stick at third base anyway can he please put on like 30 pounds of muscle. i want a giant hitmonster on our team. [expletive] yeah. I want a Gas House Gorilla.
  12. Hey, it only took until April 19th for me to have tickets I literally cannot give away.
  13. He said 50 games, FWIW Oh yeah. Either way, Lake played in 64 games last year, plus, as you know, it's such an arbitrary comparison between two very different players. He just seems to have this weird sense that people here in general over value Rizzo too much.
  14. I love how you're so defensive about such random players. And what do Rizzo's first 50 PA have to do with a player like Lake who has 295?
  15. [expletive] yeah, those corn muffins are great. Though last time I went they had switched to regular fries, and man, they used to rock the seasoned curly fries.
  16. Robinson's is kinda right around the corner on Armitage and man, their ribs/wings are pretty [expletive] tasty. The sauce is incredible.
  17. Don't...call it that Just that he still calls it that shows me that he's not ready to start game threads.
  18. I think Smoque wins by default just because Twin Anchors only has, like, 5 things on their menu and the ribs are really the only thing they do beyond just being "serviceable." Great bar, though. Too bad they close so early.
  19. That's where I live; the church on the left is St. Michael's and it's literally just a couple blocks south of me. He's in one of the big towers just past Wells going towards the lake. He's taking a picture of my [expletive] building, the creep. I wanted to say Old Town SO BAD and I couldn't find the church on google earth so I didn't. I had a weird feeling that it looked super familiar; it's the lit sign in the lower left that sealed it: that's the sign outside of the Twin Anchors.

  21. Well, thanks to this thread I stopped by BCB for the first time in forever. Here is a dramatic recreation of how it went: http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_meejw08kOA1rbajmno1_400.gif
  22. I mean, the site is called "Bleed Cubbie Blue;" there's about a million warning signs as to the poop ahead in that name.
